The eagle born by freedom won, yet held in precarious station,
set upon defense and steeled his will to guard and protect his new nation.
So he resolved, defiant of all who would challenge his right to be free,
with a "swift-sailing vessel and ten carriage guns" to hunt the world's oceans and seas.
Born to go into harm's way, come all! Ye hell or high waters be damned!
No lightning, no thunder nor hurricane gale can stand in the face of his wrath.
Be he beneath his enemy's feet or by cloud where their gaze can not go,
when Leviathan rise, every last man shall shake to the core of his soul.
Now, fear the deep
and the teeth of a killing machine with a need to bleed you, anywhere you be,
best believe, I'm in the zone to be, from my Yin to my Yang to my Yang Tze
put a grin on my chin, come to me, 'cuz I'll win, I'm one-of-a-kind and I'll bring death
to the place you're about to be: another river of blood runnin' under my feet
forged in a fire lit long ago stand next to me, you'll never stand alone
I'm last to leave, but the first to go, Lord, "under weigh" is the only "way" I know
I'll feed on the fear of the devil inside of the enemy faces in my sights
aim with the hand, shoot with the mind, kill with a heart like arctic ice
I am Leviathan, and "death" is my call. I am a warrior and this is my song
I bask in the glow of the rising war, lay waste to the ground of the enemy shore
wade through the blood spilled on the floor, if another one moves, I'll kill 'em some more
Bullet in the breech and the fire in me, like a cigarette thrown to gasoline
if death don't bring you fear then death ain't comin' from the deep.
Come to the nightmare, come to me, way down in the dark where the devil be
in the maw with the jaws and the razor teeth where the brimstone burns and the angel weeps
call to the gods when I cross your path, and my silhouette hangs in the aftermath: hope is a moment now long past, the shadow of death is the one I cast.
I am Leviathan, and "death" is my call, I am a warrior and this is my song
my breath is fire and my eyes are the dawn, I am a warrior and this is my song
now I live lean and I mean to inflict the grief, and the least of me's still outta your reach
the killing machine's gonna do the deed, untill the river runs dry and my last breath leaves
chin in the air with a head held high I'll stand in the path of the enemy line
feel no fear, know my pride: for God and Country I'll end your life
I am Leviathan, and "death" is my call, I am a warrior and this is my song
my breath is fire and my eyes are the dawn, I am a warrior and this is my song
we build, we fight, the end: you die. Move on...I am a warrior and this is my song
you can run, but you won't hide long, I am a warrior and this is my song

@The God-Emperor Of Mankind also please notice it was taken from his diary, so yeah he didn't say it he wrote it....he did say “I can guarantee to put up a tough fight for the first six months but I have absolutely no confidence about what would happen if it went on for two or three years…. I hope you will make every effort to avoid war with America.” Yamamoto said that in a conversation with Prime Minister of Japan Prince Konoe.

Daan Verhaeg The Battle Off Samar, part of the larger Battle of Leyte Gulf. The Yamato was there, but thanks to the insanely courageous efforts of just seven destroyers and destroyer escorts and valiant airmen of the "Jeep" escort carriers the Japanese were convinced they were fighting a fleet of heavy cruisers, battleships, and fleet carriers. It was one of the most one-sided naval battles in history, and the United States Navy won it through sheer balls and suicidal courage.

When I was in the US Navy our warships used bells and the Bosun's Mates pipes to to communicate orders to the crew and keep time . Bugles played Morning Colors when we raised the Old Glory Stars and Stripes on the stern and the Ensign on the bow . Bugles played Taps when we struck colors at sundown . When a US Navy vessel is underway at sea , the US Flag is flown from the Main Truck , meaning the highest place a flag can be flown . At times , the standard sized US Colors flown by a US Navy vessel may be replaced by an especially larger sized flag called ' Battle Colors ' . As a US Navy Petty Officer is was often my duty to perform Colors at Morning and at Evening . I and my shipmates raised and saluted the colors , folded them , and put them away until the next colors ceremony .

christ, i'm sorry mate. i'm former british infantry, and managed to get out of my tour in afghanistan before i got too badly fucked up. did leave with four bullet wound scars, a slice across the bottom of my right eye, and a knife wound scar across my abdomen, but it was worth it to serve my country and protect it for at least one more day. i'm sorry for your loss, mate. sounded like a good man, your brother, and i would've followed him into hell had i known him. from a soldier to the family of a deceased soldier, i salute you, good sir/madam. you are made of sterner stuff than most.

kromwell smith Thank you sir for your kind words, believe me it helps, especially coming from a soldier. Simply based on the fact that you are a soldier, i know my brother would have fought by your side also. I know he would have taken a bullet for you. That's the kind of man he was. He understood how that a soldiers are a rare breed, a special breed. You good sir are of the same stock. My entire family is military. So i know that in the military, every one is family, not only here in the United States, but also anywhere a soldier is called ally. George would have called you brother, he would have fought and died by your side. I just wish the world had more men like my brother and like you sir, they are sorely needed. I'm an American, and while our Navy has numbers on our side, I believe that the Royal Navy is pound for pound better than ours. Arthas Menethil Sir, you are quite wrong. The US Navy is the most powerful navy that has ever existed. In fact, when the US is pitted against other countries, we usually come out on top due to our Navy. This is not to say the the Royal Navy is not good, hell no, but "pound for pound" means nothing when we have more plentiful and powerful ships

Tye Tass I'm pretty sure that what the guy above said is true; back in Vietnam, we had draftees while the British had career sailors... You know, the guys who'd planned on joining their Navy and serving proudly and not some hippies who'd complained the whole time they served... Head to head, we'd might win against the British Navy during the Vietnam era, but we might have lost as well; so stop claiming we could beat anyone at any point in history, we might actually beat about ninety-eight point six percent of the planet.

I grew up in Decatur, IL. Raised upon tails of the man who gave his man to my home. I joined the Marines to become half the man he was. I love my brother & sister in the Navy. I am the one who fights for you on the ground. You are the one who makes sure I can get to the enemy to kill them. You support me, you feed me, you heal me. I bless you everyday that for 20 years that I was the sword that my nation would unsheathe when they needed me. You kept me sharp & ready to kill, kill, kill. Your corpsmen stood beside men in war & peace. I love you guys. Thank you for letting me serve beside you.

To my dad and his brother....they would have appreciated this....both died as civilians, but I am still and always be proud of their service. My dad was on a battleship and my uncle was on a carrier. Lol! When I asked my uncle if he ever saw anyone fall ...or...get pushed off a carrier platform...He said simply, "It's a looonnnggg way down" He never fessed if who exactly fell! *Love you both and miss you both dearly.* When I was out with my dad on his small boat fishing for urchins, he let me pilot. He and his crew said I was a natural...Well, at least, I didn't drive us in a circle for 3 hours like my brother...they never let him drive after that. Unlike him, "I had good sense, and I paid attention to detail. If I was unsure about something, I asked. My dad let me drive between the pylons of the pier/ bridge heading back to the slip.
