The Washington Post | John Philip Sousa
During the 1880s, the Washington Post sponsored an essay contest for school children known as the Washington Post Amateur Authors’ Association. The owners of the newspaper, Frank Hatton and Beriah Wilkins, asked John Philip Sousa, then leader of the "The President's Own" United States Marine Band, to compose a march for the award ceremony. The march became known as "The Washington Post" march.

I can't believe they are following the Sousa tradition that the US President's own follows when performing this Sousa march. I will say I prefer the band using three euphoniums.

The one time when both Navy and Marine Corps versions are actually at the same tempo; unlike the Army and Air Force performances that seem to be a tad slower.

Im shocked comments are allowed. The navy band would be furious to be shown as friendly in any way with the washington post. This is really funny wp boy are they gonna be pissed.
