Yeah, if you don’t have back door wiring, It’s a great option for a back door.

This is my second order and they keep sending the one with the wrong end to cinnect by doorbell.I need the one like the one you have ,put it around the screw.

I wish they would make these and the cams in black, brown, camo. Nest cams I have with rubberized covers.

@@GeorgeLangabeer For the white cables I decided to use black heat shrink tubing to help weatherproof and hide the cables on the panel wiring.

Question can this solar panel be put up more than 13ft? Will it still charge my cam doorbell?

In theory it could, but you'd have to extend that supplied cord.

It’s made for the doorbell so it doesn’t have the right power connector for the regular camera.

They make one for the camera. Wasserstein has a new model on presale right now, set to ship thIs month. To answer your other question…yes, it will do 24/7 if it’s powered by the solar panel.

There are certain features on Nest cameras that are only available when plugged in (24/7 recording I believe is one). Would a solar panel like this unlock those features?

Not on their newest doorbell. You can’t do 24/7 recording on that doorbell no matter how it’s powered. You’re correct on the regular indoor/outdoor battery camera though.

For what it's worth, in order for the Nest indoor/outdoor battery cameras to work with a solar panel, the software on said cameras needs to be updated. That's currently projected to occur in mid to late May of '22.
