The Watchdogs are one of Elden Rings weirdest Enemies and this Staff has it's own quirks to say the least... This run is part of a challenge I did to complete multiple different no-hit runs that my viewers requested before the end of 2022. There were 40 requests and I managed to complete them all just in time.

Rules: Complete the game while not taking any staggers or damage from enemies or traps. Environmental or self hits/damage are allowed, including fall damage. There is a required death at the beginning of the game which is not counted as a hit because it is needed for progression.

This weapon is a solid option for strength builds in casual play because it allows you to get magic damage and a projectile without any investment in intelligence. It's also very easily accessible, from the very start. Really underrated.

The projectiles being slow but tracking extremely well forces people yo dodge in PvP allowing for frame trapping if timed right. An exceptionally well rounded weapon honestly.

When I played for the first run blind on release week, this puppy carried me through 90% of the game. I did end up respeccing to finish off Malenia/Elden Beast but will always hold a special palce in my heart for good ol Watchdog Staff.

arcane bleed build for malenia, then for elden beast I respeced again to a faith build, equipped only the great heal spell so my mimic would spam it to get through the fight. you could also with that build equip only mana flasks to spam weapon arts as great heal was more effective than estus@@thedudeNYAAATHEDUDY

I just wanna say thanks for doing these videos. I downloaded Elden Ring on launch and didn't really enjoy the game that much. It was my first souls game and I think I felt a bit lost. Watching your no-hit videos had me in awe and made me want to play the game. Now I can't stop playing! Thanks Elden Ring God, mr. Gino!!!

@@nightstrike7870 i think people who are this good at the game without summons, the summons become a hindrance instead of a benefit because the muscle memory falls off when there are more targets the boss goes for, the boss becomes more unpredictable

Had this weapon in my inventory for like 9 months now and just never tried it. I fully agree also I kept hearing how good bolt of gransax was and I use it and it was awful. Can barely even get an AOW off in boss battle.

That's why I love invading as an Imp, I can be mischievous but not do things that are annoying (like most pvp fights tend to devolve to)

Haha that's awesome. I've been wanting to run an Imp build character, but idk if I want to do a Forked Greatsword with a Forked Htachet in the offhand, or just straight-up dual-wield Forked Hatchets. Both sound fun in their own right.

@@audreyii5087 don't deul wield the hatchets, their only saving grace is a unique and slightly faster hatchet moveset only shaded by the regular hatchet. They still have the normal speed axe deul wield moveset and they're the shortest axe by far. The only upside to them is their innate bleed so slowing them down is not advisable.

7:00 iirc you don't need to do 3 NPC invasions as described here. If you don't kill Bernahl before he goes to Volcano Manor he'll sell Assassin's Gambit after the first invasion in Limgrave.

I'd like to see a 1 hit run, where you have to be hit specifically once by every boss, no hit is a reset, and if it isn't a clean single hit you take, it is also a reset.

bolt of gransax is much more of a pvp weapon. its fast(projectile speed), high damage, high range.

I've started playing souls games over the last couple months and I've decided that I want to get really, really good at them, like being able to do things like no hits & fist only runs. Would you happen to have any tips that could help me in improving? So far I've beaten DS3 and Elden ring at least 20 times overall but I feel like I haven't improved much in my last half dozen runs. damn, I was interested in chess boxing for a minute there. When I first heard of it I was thinking two people who has 16 boxers or general different types of fighters (each style representing a different piece), as their team playing chess with the boxers/fighters as human chess pieces and a chess master commanding them, in order to take another piece the two pieces fight.

Fun fact, idk if anyone will see but, if you talk to Bernahl at the shack, do ryas quest up to going to volcano manor, kill one npc invader, and talk to bernal in the manor, and you can get gambit that way too. no need to kill 3 npcs or rykard.

When doing a run with a non somber high stance break weapon would it be worth it to get the Misericord for reposts, you would also be able to add assassins gambit on it to replace the rapier.

You should be able to unlock Assassin's Gambit after just the first NPC invasion for the Manor; is murdering Bernahl that much easier? Well I guess it's easier to no-hit him since he lets you get the first couple of hits in for free.

yo Gino, idk if this trick will work for the Watchdog Staff's weapon skill, but the Earthshaker weapon skills can be spammed faster if you hold a block.
