Mike Scott could turn the Yellow Pages into a #1 hit song.
I first really heard this Pete Seeger song when Dave Sharp played it circa the turn of the millennium at The Kerry Pub in New Orleans. I’m thankful to The Waterboys for covering it and helping make it a favorite of mine. Happy Hollerdays! ✌️Cheers to a Prosperous New Year 🎉

ok...so the plot has been officially lost...hey ho...40 years is a fkkin good run.... from 'Rags' to this... i guess we're all just passing through, Mr. Cohen. Thanks Mike...it was a fun ride...incredible highs...genius very often...too often to list...you kissed the sky and brought the flame down from heaven. Whole of the moon..??...this album ( and the last one too) is a foil-wrapped slice of dairylea, mate. Sorry. Still...we are all getting older I guess, and our energy and inspiration changes. Spirit is what man can be.

I love Mike Scott music. But I understand you a lot. This album make me feel cold. I cant enjoy must of the songs. Blackberry girl and Here we go again are disturbing to me. Anyway: most of the discography is too good. We re Lucky.

I agree with you Mark Mark… artists do not pass through, they make music to endure… I guess I all has to do about the flame… and it was indeed a fun ride!

Mike Scott's music career is living proof that christianity just makes things suck.

Speak for yourself. The Waterboys are the soundtrack for my life. I am a couple of years older than Mike Scott, but he is an under-rated genius and an authentic voice of my generation. So many of his songs move me deeply. I wish he would drop the American country music, though.
