This. Is Epic. Love The Waterboys. From a fan of thirty five years.. This harks back to some of the earlier Albums with sound, yet this is totally current. In Awe as ever. Mike Scott is my favourite Bard. Looking forward to hearing the New Album. X

Love the song. I wish Mike would also call out the lies, deceit, theft, crime and inherit violence that is replete in most all politics at all levels. Singling out one bump on the tumor can cause some to think the rest of the tumor is ok.

Ah man I just starting listening to the waterboys again after nearly 20 years of a gap & as much as I like this tune the fact that it's making him sound one sided in politics is off putting because at the end of the day all these politicians are corrupt in their own way for as long as I can remember...Good musicians should just keep politics out of their music..still a great band all the same but I won't be listening to this tune again because of the naivety in it.

Oh FFS . Another semi sung,semi spoken 'song'. Why all the vocal affectations. Spitting out the last word of each sentence impresses nobody. I check out each new release hoping for a return to form , but Mike hasn't made a good album since 'Dream Harder', ( which was half of a good album ). His once brilliant singing voice began to fail around that period , and now his vocals make me cringe. His vocal delivery , makes things even worse. I was at the mythical Bridge Hotel , Waterford , Concert . Still the Best Gig EVER. Saw them many times. This is heartbreakingly mediocre.

@@briansloss926 Well, Mike could have used that but it would have only undermined the song because in the grand scheme of things it's trivial and more like typical hyperbole than a malicious lie. If Mike chooses to single out a single Politician (leaving all the others out) and then not use even one example of a lie, it just looks like smearing.

@@nigelsim941 I used that example because it was literally on day 1. The song was just that, a song. It was not an essay being turned in for a political science or history course. The listener has a little responsibility to have been alive and paying attention since 2016 to have context for the lyrics. He is still lying today about the 2020 election and it resulted in an insurrection where the dip shit brigade were hunting members of congress and the Vice President so they could execute them.
