the best strategy in my experience is rock every throw. No one thinks you'll keep throwing rock. Until somone figures you out. Then you play scissors, then rock every time.

Strategy: 1. Play with an aggressive, domineering person 2. They’ll throw rock because of their natural tendencies 3. Throw paper against their rock for the 1st round and win 4. Now they’re cautious, they’ll probably think you’re trying to guess their next throw being scissors (assuming they know about the Win-Stay, Lose-Switch theory), so they’ll try to one-up you by throwing paper for the 2nd round 3. You pick scissors, you win again 4. Now they’re panicking, they’ll throw whatever they haven’t thrown yet most likely, that being scissors 5. You’ll pick rock and beat them for a third time This is all assuming that they’re the most basic of basic when it comes to thought process though, and also assuming that they can’t do Poker Faces If they’re stubborn, they might just pick rock again and again lol

Dude I did the same strat but theres one difference first in rock paper scissors most ppl think that everyone picks scissors so my opponent picked rock and i picked paper second round he thought that if he picked scissors i would pick rock so he put paper and i put scissors. third round he knew that if he put rock i would put paper and if he put scissors I would put rock so he picked paper again and I picked scissors and thats a gg

I believe the best way to win r-p-s(rock-paper-scissors) is to: 1. Throw randomly in the first few rounds. 2. Then, try to think a step-ahead of them. For example: If your opponent throws rock and loses to paper, they’ll most likely think that you will bring out scissors, so they’ll bring out rock. You can throw paper again. After this loss, the opponent will most likely believe you’ll throw paper all the time, so, they’ll bring out scissors. Now, you can predict their moves, and throw rock. Boom! You found out the perfect way to beat people in r-p-s. Disclaimer: This advice might not work on some people if they catch up to things quite easily. So, don’t depend on this comment. And don’t come replying to me saying “Your advice doesn’t work!”. This is just something I learned from many years of experience with siblings and a few tips from my brother.

Round 1 Pick randomly Picking randomly means if you tied on Rock you can pick like Rock or Scissors as your likely gonna go Paper anyways, this gives you info on if they playing agressive or passive. But now and then do go with the one your thinking of keep it Really unpredictable. However on 1st Turn just do like Paper as people tend to Smash or Cut anyways but more Smash lols. Round 2 If they win with Rock, you pick Paper If they win with Paper, you pick Scissors If they win with Scissors, you pick Rock If they lose with Rock, you pick Scissors If they lose with Paper, you pick Rock If they lose with Scissors, you pick Paper If you both draw just pick randomly Round 3 If they win with Rock, you pick Rock If they win with Paper, you pick Paper If they win with Scissors, you pick Scissors If they lose with Rock, you pick Paper If they lose with Paper, you pick Scissors If they lose with Scissors, you pick Rock If you both draw just pick randomly Round 4 and 5 Pick randomly Round 6 and 7 Reverse the Round 2 and 3 order picks Round 8 If they win with Rock, you pick Rock If they win with Paper, you pick Paper If they win with Scissors, you pick Scissors If they lose with Rock, you pick Rock If they lose with Paper, you pick Paper If they lose with Scissors, you pick Scissors If you both draw just pick randomly Round 9 and 10 Pick Randomly Rounds 11+ Just Repeat Round 2-10 Only an AI will catch on but not people.

Same, at the time I didn’t think of it as much of a strategy only until years later but same as the video said the first throw was up for grabs but the rest I would always win, and my friends would be frustrated every time. Now I am frustrated that I cannot remember what I was thinking at the time I played to always win.

*How people play rock paper scissors* 1. Winners stay (they pick the same action after they win one time) 2.Losers switch to the next action ( If they lose once they will go next in the cycle an example could be someone plays rock they lose then they play scissors) Tip: If a player wins the first match if they stay pick the action that beats the first action they played and after that they will most likely switch to the next action in the sequence they will then lose again. and you would have won.

Bro I did this when I was like 7. I didn't think mathematically but like I just thought they would pick the thing that beat my thing after I beat them (bad grammar). So I always picked what would beat THAT. I didn't realize you had to do a bunch of calculations and research to figure that out. lol.

Found that most winners change it up using the same sign as before doesn't make sense so I feel like you need info on the type of person playing. I'm guessing if a random generator played they would win far more than lose since we are designed to follow patterns. Also with speed rps it doesn't have the 3 seconds to say the name so it's much more random

As much as I tried to watch, the examples that flew by to fast. I rewound the video several times. If both people choose the same item, is that a tie or scratch? Paper beats Rock Rock beats Scissors Scissors beats paper

Well, there's a big gap in this. Because you've neglected to mention: what is the tendency for the player to choose next if it's a DRAW?

I've figured that most of the people play scizors (70%) and paper (30%) first.

I'm pretty sure it's more of an equal 33%. I read somewhere that men usually start with rock and women usually start with scissors, but either way the rock has the biggest throw rate (~36% I think), so mathematically people usually start with rock. (That's why if you're playing against a new player, it's a good strategy to start with paper).
