This week, Minneapolis’ finest, the rapper Prof takes a seat in The Wayback! (Powderhorn Suites, Horse.) Prof talks about growing up in the Powderhorn section of Minneapolis as part of a large blended family, running with a graffiti crew, school pranks, and joyriding. Then Ryan and Prof get nostalgic as they go through some of Prof’s recently discovered childhood photos, getting a glimpse of his early public rap performances, and seeing him dressed up for the Minneapolis MayDay parade. Prof also tells us what is was like growing up right next door to the neighborhood’s biggest drug dealer and king of the airwaves, “Full Blast!”

Took my girlfriend and my best friend to his show last year in Lawrence, Kansas. I was blown away with how amazing he was live. This is gold. I was lucky enough to discover Prof via algo 4 years back. He was by me on a ride through darkest moments of my life and now I'm on the other side of the tunnel. I saw Prof in Alaska at Chilkoot Charlie’s in 2016!! Was a big fan then and was so hyped that he came to our state! The fucking performance for a small fan base was so amazing! He brought the Heat!!! Still a huge fan, love you pookie!!
