In Oklahoma EF2 is a baby. I drove up Sooner Road when May 3 was happening behind me (EF5). A couple of years later we all stood out the back door of our work and watched the May 19 tornado tear up the GM plant. We just go out and watch the show. If it’s not coming straight for you, it’s not going to get you.

Yes, the helicopters rev up and show the storms as they move across until it gets dark. By the time it gets to Tulsa, it’s later in the day and it’s no fun in the dark. I liked living in OKC and having it go through earlier than in Tulsa.

There are different categories for severe weather. The regular convective outlook is what we usually see first, but it's not the same as tornado risk which is another category.

I wish you wouldn't over exaggerate video thumbnails and titles. Tornadoes are a fact of life, weather can get serious, but every caption says HUGE storm or CRAZY weather and only an infant would believe that what we see isn't normal. I give up. I feel like I am at the supermarket looking at a BIG!!! sale where a dozen items are a whole 3% off for three days, and those items are almost out of date and need to be frozen anyhow. Just write something that people can relate to, like "chance of severe weather" and quit playing on peoples dwindling need for apocalyptic advertising. I know I will click more if I don't feel like the title is click bait.
