It was #WorldSuicidePreventionDay the other day, and with the death of Mac Miller, it bought up some old feelings and I realised just how far I've come! I hope this helps someone one day, and that you can all at least enjoy the journey I've been on to be where I am today!

This video really hit home. I've suffered from depression for as long as i can remember, and i've contemplated suicide plenty in my time. Last year my mum died and i honestly thought that would be the end of me. I just about managed to talk to my family about my depression, and after the longest time they managed to convince me to go to the doctor. They prescribed me medication and gave me a number to call, but they never got back to me and i've sort of been using that as an excuse not to try to find a therapist. I quit my old job and found a new one, thinking the stress of working there was the problem. It was part of it, but you can't shake depression that easy. Just when i think i'm winning, i have one of those days where getting out of bed sounds like the last thing i want to do. Hearing about you feeling how i felt, and about how you managed to get yourself out of it has given me hope. I'm happy for you, and i hope i can find the courage to get somebody to help me deal with my demons. They don't want to let me, and fighting them is hard...

Theres always someone out there willing to help buddy. You did the hardest part admitting and realising you have things going on! There are helplines in the description should you need them, and I'm sure plenty of therapist in your area too. Stay strong buddy!

Life can get so hard. For whatever reason. People need support and places like KZfaq are the perfect way to get the message out to millions of people. I'm so glad you got out of that shit place last year and if this video helps just one person i know it'll mean so much to you. Here's to another year of success and happiness.
