"Call Out My Name" and "I Was Never There" are two of The Weeknd's best vocal performances I've ever heard. The range he has on those songs are insanely good, and you can tell he's singing from his core. Amazing.

This EP is in deed a very special body of work. Since day 1 that this came out,I have listened to either The Whole Album or at the very least, 2 songs off of it on a daily basis, and as short & sweet as it is, Privileged will definitely give you goosebumps!!! We Needed This Album!!!

This album is the most underrated, this album deserves more recognition the weeknd will forever be a Legend.

Track 1 - He talks about how much the relationship with Selena meant to him. Track 2 - After the breakup with Selena, he falls back to a casual situationship with an old girl. Track 3 - While working through his feelings during the situationship, he comes to a realization that Selena wasn’t worth it in the end and maybe it’s time to go back to his true love, Bella. Track 4 - He looks at himself from the outside looking in and questions a few things and realizes some things but one thing is clear, he wants Bella back - no matter the cost. Track 5 - The casual girl from track 2 comes back into the picture but he tells her he can’t give her what she wants: a serious relationship. He is only willing to keep it causal or nothing. Track 6 - After the meaningless sex post-Selena breakup and trying to forget the pain, he finally gets to a point where he can look at that relationship with an open heart and finds closure.

I went to his concert, Mawazine Rabat, Morocco 2018. It was the best thing that happened to me. He ended with the call out my name acapella, I tell you, we couldn't hear him through the crowd singing !! It was such a magical, beautiful, absolutely stunning moment. XO for life man !

My Dear Melancholy, is the first official EP in Abel’s discography. The EP seems to follow the history of his relationships with Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez respectively. In both “Call Out My Name” and “Try Me” he focuses on his relationship with Selena and his attempts to “let go” after the breakup. In “Wasted Times” he compares the former relationship to the relationship he had with Hadid, and then later blames his depression on Selena in “I Was Never There.” He then goes on to distance himself from Selena in “Hurt You” and then ends it by saying goodbye to Selena, declaring that he will be back to his old ways of drugs, alcohol and sex in “Privilege.”
