The Weeknds influences come from everywhere so all those sounds drip feed into his music. In general most people would say his music is dark RnB but he samples people like Siouxie and the banshees/Portishead etc so he’s got a little something extra going on. All of his songs don’t sound as 80s as this but he has a few songs that sound THIS 80s. The other I’d suggest checking out is ‘in your eyes’ for an ultra 80s kick. But I’d recommend looking into his discography because I’m sure you’ll like some of his other songs too.

After Hours definitely has the 80s written all over it with some synthwave. He's kinda implemented that sound since Kiss Land (His Debut Album) but really kicked it off in Starboy (2016). Trilogy is a series of mixtapes containing: House Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes Of Silence packaged and remastered in 2012. Kiss Land as mentioned before in 2013, definitely recommend if you like shakespear + haunting lyrics with beautiful yet twisted production. Beauty Behind The Madness (2015) really set him off into stardom with massive hits including: The Hills, Can't Feel My Face and Earned It. Also recommend if you love multiple genres with a more refreshing and matured experience. With Starboy, his third studio album only proving that his first radio hits weren't his only with more bops like Starboy, I Feel It Coming and others that aren't singles like Die For You, Secrets and many more to infer that Starboy is just an album with tons of hits. In 2018 he released a small project titled My Dear Melancholy, with six tracks. Call Out My Name being the biggest on the project. This EP is very reminiscent of his first mixtapes vulnerability-wise with the production you heard in the video, only toned like a horror movie which really sets the stone for his album After Hours, which was release in 2020. Blinding Lights is on this album and I recommend listening to all of his work. You will be surprised at how much effort is put into each of his albums and how much After Hours shows that (Snowchild music video) I would give out more information most of XO could like it's on the back of our hands... but that would take a while.
