The vibrato, the shake in his voice, his falsetto tone, his beaten ass face. My goodness this man is perfection.

He didn't use falsetto in this performance though. But still, his falsetto is probably the best in the industry

How refreshing to hear a break-up song that doesn't place the blame on the ex, and in fact, wishes them well. There's a lot of emotional maturity here. It's hard to move on from someone when they're the only lover you've ever known. Even harder to admit that you're the problem.

@@MrsDeissler I think there is some slight processing to sweeten what are already very, very good vocals...a touch of reverb, etc. Pretty sure it's mostly him...and even if it isn't, he had to do it in the studio, at the very least, so leave the man alone and enjoy the beautiful song! An instant classic, IMO!

Ash Ketchem At the end the mic literally makes a weird sound so I mean it’s on. Also, he occasionally adds things that most likely aren’t going to be in the final product. Those HA’S and HEY’s he sings are always added in his live performances.

I feel like this album perfectly describes his evolution, and he chose the sequence of the new songs perfectly....first we have heartless, an homage to his past, then blinding lights, having fun but blinded by the truth, then after hours, sitting in reflection, and now Scared to Live, a sort of confessional and asking forgivness. Genius.

Verse 1] When I saw the signs, I shoulda let you go But I kept you beside me And if I held you back, at least I held you close Should have known you were lonely I know things will never be the same Time we lost will never be replaced I'm the reason you forgot to love [Chorus] So don't be scared to live again Be scared to live again No, don't be scared to live again Be scared to live again [Verse 2] You always miss the chance to fall for someone else 'Cause your heart only knows me They try to win your love, there was nothing left They just made you feel lonely (Hey) But I am not the man I used to be Did some things I couldn't let you see Refused to be the one who taint your heart [Chorus] So don't be scared to live again Be scared to live again No, don't be scared to live again, baby Be scared to live again (Say) [Post-Chorus] I hope you know that (Oh), I hope you know that (Oh) That I'll be praying that you find yourself I hope you know that (Oh), I hope you know that (Oh) We fell apart right from the start [Bridge] I should have made you my only When it's said and done, woah-oah-oah [Chorus] So don't be scared to live again, baby Be scared to live again No, don't be scared to live again, baby Be scared to live again (Hey) [Post-Chorus] I hope you know that (Oh), I hope you know that (Oh) That I'll be praying that you find yourself I hope you know that (Oh), I hope you know that (Oh) We fell apart right from the start

that's good, though. this is one of those tracks that should be more impactful while being performed. it's a show-off ballad. the studio version still does its job in a very good way and it's very well placed on the album.

DihStyle69 I personally would’ve put 345 deeper in the album to settle down the listeners mind maybe those 3 tracks moved down a slot or two

he's put many emotions on a lot of songs, he said on his zane lowe interview that when he makes his albums, he always makes it like it's his first which is why all of his albums are so good cause he puts raw emotion into it and lets out all his feelings

I don't know why I am crying, I bawled my eyes out, I feel like he wrote this for his mom and himself, take out the word baby and replace it with mom. The father left them, now he has grown and left home.
