The weird and wonderful Coober Pedy! Travelling Australia Budget run down

Episode 9 - Our Lap of Australia.
We start this video in Clare to recoup. We then head to a town called Burra where we discovered the Heritage Passport which was really cool to learn about! We stayed at someone’s hobby farm where I met the most adorable cow ever!
A random decision to go to Coober Pedy! How crazy is Coober Pedy! Feels like you are on the moon. Extremely interesting and an experience that’s for sure.
We also do a quick run down of our February budget!

Great caravan park! Has all you need plus more. Well worth the money.
Cartapo Hobby Farm - Burra - ‪@youcampAUS‬
Amazing little hobby farm. Cows, chickens, pigs, sheep and more. They let you interact with the animals which I loved!
Coober Pedy Views - ‪@youcampAUS‬
Stunning location! Nice host.
Big4 Stuart Range Outback Resort - Coober Pedy
Great spot! Amazing pool, all the amenities you need and some sites are under a shade sail which is good in summer.

Do you mean planning? If so, yes definitely plan to some degree. Maybe just research the places you are going first 😂 Totally ok to wing it but you may end up missing things you wanted to see.

Hey mate I notice that you have your boat up on an arb base rack? Any chance you could send me some pictures how you have fitted it Please ? I’m just about to go the same

Hi Warren, it’s not pretty unfortunately it was a last minute purchase and I didn’t have time to run around working out fitment. It’s pretty much two rhino rack cross bars bolted to the base rack (drilled holes through rack) then the rhino boat loader bolts to the cross bars using rhino hardware.

I’ve been to Coober Pedy 5 times on the way to Alice Springs from Victoria for the Finke Desert Race. Yes, I must agree with you that it’s “different” indeed. Safe travels.

Thanks David ! We picked the tyre issue up after we got back from the outback, we were still in a small town. We won’t be back in a big town for a while so we were happy to get the tyres we wanted where we were ☺️
