how's that figure with the massive spell damage reduction unless it was supposed to be localized as _ability_ damage specifically, that really hinders the ability to leverage spell damage items like radiance and dagon. a 20% reduction needs a 25% damage bonus to break even. a 40% reduction needs _67%._ that means even with the curse damage boost maxed out, you don't actually see an increase in those items until you have 8 active curses ... in fact, you see _less_ damage out of them than if you just bought 'em normally and kept your abilities i mean, if it is just negative spell amp, that all can be partially mitigated by eblade due to spell amp's additive stacking - which means you only suffer a 8% / 28% reduction, which gets overtaken by 9% / 39% bonus damage. which ... i guess if leveling a curse doesn't provide an extra damage stack, means you just have to not level that one twice, but that whole mechanic is just so poorly communicated i dunno i get the feeling like the numbers just aren't there. like, let's consider the alternative of a mom ac right click build. at that point, dp has 335 ( +10 all stats from basic curse damage boost + dp's natural agility at 16 because that's easy + mom + ac + 100 base attack speed ) attack speed as a x3.35 dps multiplier. drop it down to 260 with the -75 for x2.60, and the 9% boost you get from that has an end result of 2.6 * 1.09 = ... x2.834 dps. and while, yes, that's only factoring in a single curse bonus ... adding more only makes the attack speed curse look _worse,_ because even just a single additional bonus means the x3.35 without the attack speed curse becomes 3.35 * 1.09 = x3.65, while the attack speed curse ends up at 2.6 * 1.18 = x3.07 i guess maybe you're just supposed to skip the curse that corresponds to your damage type? or the damage bonus is secretly multiplicative with itself? i dunno the tooltips just _do not_ give nearly enough information to properly assess this stuff

@@hi-i-am-atan I believe you are not supposed to upgrade all the curses. The final upgrade only requires 3 active curses.

@@hi-i-am-atan Oh, never saw this. Yeah what Kefan said. You only need 3 of the curses to get the final upgrade. So just don't take the one that gimps whatever items you're going for. I feel like spell damage items are probably the best, so probably don't take the spell damage gimping one. Especially since the radiance's exist
