There's quite a lot of Mario horror games, but the weirdest one I've played yet is Hotel Mario 6, a Hotel Mario creepypasta game. Watch as I talk about this game, as well as various remakes and games that followed, it's safe to say that this game blows Mario's Madness out of the PARK.

Hotel Mario: The 13th Hotel was adapted (and is going to be reimagined, later) in Nightmare of the Mushroom Kingdom. It's not the same as Hotel Mario 6, but it does use the flashing Mario image from the game.

While I Worked With the Marios Madness Team I Pitched the Idea of "Mad Motel" Being A Song In The First World (yknow the one with CHRIS PRATT OMG :OOOOO) As A Cameo Reference to Hotel Mario 6. They didnt Like it all to much due to the games low popularity and quality, but they said they would think about for a possible future update, if that ever happens. It Was Supposed To be A First person View of mario looming over you, hes a bit somber in the begining, and then a view seconds in the goomba explodes in the background and mario turns SCARY AHHH anyway thats most of the song untill later on we see peach's face in the background, with puppet strings on mario, as goombas keep exploding in the background, as the majority of effects is just goomba guts flying in the background. The song would have multiple melodys referencing different tracks in the game (cuz nostalgia) and At the End Of the song Peach reveals herself, eats you, and the song is over CONGRATS YOU FINISHE BLOODY MARIO AHHHH (Give Me Credit If Made)

I thought the edited image of peach in dark red with bright red eyes was some kind of higher entity controlling the game back in the days, not having noticed it was just peach. The game scared me much more than it should have as a kid, because of this misunderstanding

this game started to blow up back in 2015 after luigikid played it, but i remember finding it in 2012 when i was only 10 on gameyoyo, no one was talking about it, I didn't know it was a creepy game because there was no sign of it being one on the website, so imagine the reaction of 10 year old me when i saw the goomba explode in a gruesome way, the pc started opening the cd slot by itself and a picture of an edited mario was flashing on my desktop

You missed something on the retake of Hotel Mario 6 if you close the game it will move your mouse with the evil Hotel Mario picture but with it's eyes moving after that it open a picture of Troll Mario. Also during the evil Hotel Mario picture a voice is heard and it said exactly what the Readme said in the original.

I remember Hotel Mario: The Room of Doom and Hotel Mario: The 13th Hotel, Both of which are also creepypasta Games. Well, the 13th Hotel was gonna have it’s own game, but it might have never happened, and a video of the Cutscene on KZfaq is all we got, but hey, at least it’s something.

I like this channel because it simultaneously is self-aware enough to know that these kinds of things are very silly (too many channels play up WAY too much on how scary these obviously-for-children creepypastas are).... but at the same time the channel still appreciates this kind of a content in a way that others easily (and sometimes logically lol) dismiss as cringe/garbage. The scares of these games/videos are discussed with a genuine level of criticism of things that work or things that don't and its honestly pretty unique and refreshing for me. I have a nostalgia from being a teenager when some of these were originally popping off and its really fun to both what made them scary and what made them stupid.

I think you should go over mario's madness v2, I know you don't really like fnf but this mod got a lot of interesting horror mario characters, and it's VERY high quality, don't play it if you don't wanna, just watch some gameplay, please consider this idea.

Has Bup done dedicated videos to FNF mods? He did make a few one-off mentions to a few, though it did come off as simply "Yeah, they exist". Mario's Madness v2 is probably the highest quality mod/project though, or at least the current one, giving tribute even outside the creepypasta scene (like the Beta Luigi 'game over', Chris Pratt, Luigi's Day Out, and Host Hoedown featuring Joey Perleoni and Juno Songs).
