Medical rejection is a big problem with transplants, and Edgeshot is literally putting all his cells in Bakugo's body and expecting his heart to beat again. Frankly, it should be a medical disaster. I remember having a discussion with someone where I mentioned that MHA has a bloated, underutilized cast, but they routinely throw in heroes we're meant to care about right before killing them off. I talked about how there's so much space that could be utlized discussing pro heroes, especially the top 10. I even used Edgeshot as an example of someone who could be fleshed out. They said I was exaggerating and Edgeshot was not important and that's why he has no arc. My, how the tides have turned.

I lost my investment in MHA a while ago. I'm still reading it week to week but I don't have the same emotional attachment to it I had before. It sucks for people who feel cheated but this is fucking hilarious to me. Like, if Bakugo lives past this battle does he spend the rest of his life with a heart made out of a guy? How will this impact his healthcare going forward? So many dumb questions to never be answered. I like to imagine Edgeshot will spend the rest of Bakugo's life consciously pumping his blood, regulating blood pressure, always awake but never fully aware. Cannot wait to see how this gets worse, hoping for a perfect trainwreck ending.

I remember Horikoshi stating that Bakugo was supposed to play a big role in this final arc so I want to believe that there’s going to be more to him being revived than him simply dying and coming back. Hori tends to do this kind of stuff like when he had the whole fanbase believe Hagakure was the UA traitor for week only for it to be Aoyama. Hopefully I’m right because if not this would be a really strange writing choice by Hori.

I see some people on Twitter say that Edgeshot's sacrifice is supposed to convey the older generation sacrificing themselves for the younger generation, but if Horikoshi wanted to convey that, then why not have Edgeshot sacrifice himself BEFORE Bakugo gets killed? If Edgeshot could take those fatal blows for Bakugo, then he could've preserved a young hero's life before trying this hail mary. Also, if Best Jeanist wanted to do something why not control Bakugo's threads and move him around like Granny Chiyo did with Sakura, or Vanessa with Asta?

Horikoshi's story is suffering from "Season 8 Game of Thrones syndrome"... The saddest part about it though? He's seeing all this happen in real time and refuses to stop and pull it for resets and rewrites. It could be possible and should have been done many chapters ago, but his radio silence tells me three things: 1. He's over the fandom and doesn't care if he pisses it off 2. He's over MHA in general 3. He is more than willing to troll the fans while he destroys his creation (and probably his writing career let's be honest). No spoilers for AoT but... that ending left much to be desired--HOWEVER it made sense for the narrative.... in some ways. That's really all I ask for a finale. Is that too much to ask for?? What is going to happen to MHA? Well... have you guys ever watched Game of Thrones....?

The only thing I like about MHA are the villains tbh at this point. And even now I'm a bit disappointed about Shigaraki being mostly controlled by AfO when they are both amazing villains separately and I like it when they show their assets and villainy separated.

This is exactly why so many people I know like the League of Villains better then the kids, because they are allowed to actually be at risk and die. They can actually change and have character development.

In the end of the day, even though it's believable Edgeshot can do that, as far fetched as it is, my biggest problems are these 3: 1- The previous 2 chapters where MEANINGLESS, as Bakugou's "death" led to NOTHING, not even to Midorya getting angry and getting there on a rage mode. Just, pure bait for the readers 2- Edgeshot is a NOTHING CHARACTER! The man supposedly knew Jeanist since highschool but when Jeanist was thought dead, we got nothing from Edgeshot! A wasted opportunity to show their friendship, or to show Edgeshot being affected by it, to also showcase better how connected the heroes can be. Edgeshot was just a background cool character, perfect to be tossed aside to bring back Bakugou like a trap card you never knew was set-up 3,(The biggest one)- It robbed Jeanist of saving Bakugou! If Bakugou had been just severely damaged and was like, almost dead in a way Jeanist could help, it would be an amazing moment of a character who was one of the first to believe in Bakugou and try to help him, a character who "died" to help the heroes and the new gen, a great support who had been important in the war and brought to the light to us, a character who had a connection with Bakugou and would have given us a meaningfull moment, just like All Might with Deku, of a former big hero giving his life/strenght/faith to the next gen he helped to raise closely! That's what I hate in this chapter, it robbed Jeanist from having a great, impactful, memorable character moment with Bakugou

I'm okay with Bakugo dying, but there's two things that have to happen when he goes out: 1. He has to die landing one of the final shots, or an extremely vital hit, against the enemy. He has to die winning. Period. 2. Deku has to see it and be there. Deku has to see his favorite active hero's final moment. His final win. He saw him grow up, he has to see him die. These are simple facts that are supported by the series, his character, and common sense.

I have another conspiracy theory/headcanon: this war arc was supposed to happen on 3rd year and one of bakugou internships was with edgeshot. The guy is literally a top 5 hero, the only thing we knew about him was that he is a ninja and always cool and collected. I can see a story where Bakugou loses his temper and let a villain get away, so he decides to become better and goes to the most controlled top 5 guy, edgeshot. Now edgeshot sacrifice helped makes thematic sense: two mentors help together and sacrifice a lot to save their pupil, heroism and old guard passing the torch to the new guard all tied up in a nice bow

I love how the show every media outlet and youtuber constantly called "A breath of fresh air in subverting cliche shounen tropes" in 2016 reverts to the worst shounen tropes from a Toriyama manga 27 years older than it, in the most vital chapter of it's run. All that bragging from 2016 really made this moment hurt a lot harder.

My biggest problem with this whole thing is that I don't see the point of bringing Bakugo back at all when it comes to the story. Like ok he's a popular character but within the story, why is it that they need to bring back Bakugo specifically out of everyone who has died in this battle? He has failed against Shigaraki already so what does bringing him back now will contribute to the fight at hand? Is Bakugo supposed to be the main part of a plan or something and they couldn't afford to let him die because of it? Also if Edgeshot can get inside people's bodies and mess with their organs, why doesn't he just infiltrate Shigaraki and try to kill him from inside out? To me that sounds like a safer bet on winning than just reviving Bakugo and a better way to sacrifice himself. Maybe I'm missing something because I'm not invested in this series anymore and I just skim through the chapters to stay up to date with the overall story so I'd appreciate some clarity in this matter in case anyone would like to enlighten me.......

I know the out of universe reason. Bakugo is the most popular character and the deuteragonist of the series. Hori did say in a interview that fans of this character will either love it ot hate it. I just don't see anywhere else for the character to go to be honest. But yeah Hori does alot of things don't make sense other than it looks cool in his arc. It's just random bullshit.

MHA chapter 405 spoilers: Hori somehow managed to make this chapter worse today. Today it was revealed that edge shot isn’t the reason why bakugou came back to life, IT WAS ACTUALLY BAKUGO WHO BROUGHT HIMSELF BACK TO LIFE BECAUSE “a drop of sweat ran through Bakugou’s bloodstream and exploded inside of him, activating his heart (RukasuMHA on twitter).” Edgeshot then tells Bakugou “ I only connected the parts in place. It was your quirk you strengthened over the years that brought you back (RukasaMHA on twitter).” Also, edgeshot is still alive somehow, so there’s that smh. Horikoshi’s horror manga better be a masterpiece or else his career is over.

I'm surprised Edgeshot didn't use a lesser version of this ability to fix All Might's damaged internal organs, considering I presume it'll be easier than fixing an EXPLODED HEART

So, I think the goal was Edgeshot was sacrificing himself for the sake of the future generation. However, the method (which is beyond stupid for the reasons you stated) and lack of well-built connection with anyone causes this goal to completely fail since it has no meaning.

I believe that one of the main reasons for MHA’s decline in storytelling was due to Horikoshi’s editor being infamous in the industry for directly affecting a series’ ENTIRE story. But apparently just a little bit before that chapter was released, Horikoshi got a new editor. So when you’re saddled with controversy from your publisher and audience and your editor and essentially forced to change the story you want to tell to accommodate someone else, you don’t really want to write you story so much anymore. But I like to think that Horikoshi got a little fed up with some of the audience who essentially forced him to change his story, his publisher and editor who made sure it happened, and the moment Horikoshi got a new editor, he killed off a fan favorite character. Only to then immediately be kept on watch by the publisher so he wouldn’t pull anything that’d upset the audience which is why he has to come back and any actual interesting moments in the final battle immediately became obscure and undone. Honestly though, Horikoshi might have vented some of his frustrations from a one-off character. If no one remembers, when Dabi was revealed to have apparently been a victim of AFO, a police officer who was listening to the Doctor tell his story for some reason said that such an “important plot line” was “incredibly stupid, repetitive, and boring”. It feels like Horikoshi isn’t writing HIS story, and instead the PUBLISHER’s story. Because you don’t just make a one-off character provide such harsh meta commentary about your own series without reason.

as much as i enjoy bakugo as a character, they either shouldn't have done a fake out in the first place or they should've killed him off fr 💀 i hate when writers can't stick to what they do and proceed to basically erase it in the next chapter. even if they WERE gonna do a fake out, edgeshot sacrificing himself doesn't make us feel anything bcs we haven't grown especially attached to him unlike with bakugo or even as an earlier example, nighteye. they could've had best jeanist lie about his heartbeat and rush him out of there. not everything has to be huge and dramatic its okay for things to be slow paced and calm, in fact that adds more to the story.

Fake-out deaths in anime are just a never-ending source of disappointment. They waste so much potential for genuinely emotional and impactful stakes and story beats, and almost always feel cheap and unsatisfying. And I hate that this is such a common thing.

Not to mention, why is Bakugo even important enough to save? Edge shot is a powerful pro hero with years of experience who would be far more useful to defeating Shigaraki compared to Endeavor Lite

13:37-15:06 I was thinking about midnight as a another good example of a hero dying doing something courageous and it hitting hard, as she had the chance to motivate kaminari and also momo in her last moments. It also helped that we saw her throughout the series like in the sports festival, exam arc, joint training arc prior to her death in the war arc.

This has been a problem since the war started. There's no setup, only payoff. For the war arc specifically it still kinda worked since earlier parts of the story still laid enough groundwork for payoffs to be satisfying (Dabi, Twice etc.). We saw early signs of a problem arising because of this, primarily with Mirio, where the big "payoff" came out of nowhere and had to be rationalized later, and it felt incredibly forced. Those occurences only became more frequent as time went on, since we basically got no downtime to setup big character moments anymore, so those payoffs feel really empty and have to be explained in the aftermath, rather than being the culmination of previous setup.

That was the chapter that made me think "ok i'm done with MHA" Like, for the first time in my life I stopped reading a story that I knew it got worse without thinking about "I already read that far so I'm just gonna keep reading to know how it end" It's so sad that the story was the one I used to love so much

I think the general theme of this chapter is good, the older generation sacrificing things so they can make the lives of younger generations better. The problem is that it’s done in a very… weird way, to say the least. It also doesn’t help that AFO clearly doesn’t intend to sacrifice anything for Shigaraki. I’d really like to see what MHA would look like if it kept going in the direction of MVA and the start of the war arc, where themes are actually acted upon rather than just telling us the theme.

Tying his backstory to Best Jeanist felt like a desperate attempt to make him being the one to save Bakugou matter, like, “oh we were friends in school and you mentored this kid so that’s why I’m gonna kill myself to save him”. If you want someone to die in this moment, just kill Edgeshot, this by proxy thing is just weird. I never believed for a second that Bakugou was gonna die but this self-sacrificial resurrection is such a waste. Even having Edgeshot turn his entire body into string to become Bakugou’s heart strings, why not give Jeanist that moment? It takes him out of the fight and builds on his mentor relationship. Why not give him a quirk awakening (since they’re just handing them out now apparently) that would allow him to control muscle fibre or something?

I know this is a shounen, but… does Horikoshi even understand how medically implausible this is? Even if Edgeshot is able to use his body to “restart” Bakugo’s heart, Bakugo’s immune system is going to recognize Edgeshot as a foreign object and attack him. Not to mention Edgeshot would just decompose eventually since he’s apparently going to die.

They didn't even try to utilize Eri's abilities. Mirio got his powers back with nothing else to come with it.

Can we just give credit to one of the most nonsensical lines? "This stopped heart belongs to a life we can ill afford to lose." Like, what? Edgeshot, you are a hero with years of experience and hundreds of saved lives under your belt. You have trained probably most of your life, have moved up the hero rankings, and even helped in the rescue operation of this same child. What on God's green earth ever gave you the impression that this dumpster fire of a human being that has slowly changed into a campfire is somehow a life you could and should sacrifice your own for? What events led you to this asinine conclusion?

As a writer i find it utterly stupid that mangakas find it THAT hard to just make even the slightest backstory for a side character. Why is it that every last pinch of development goes to people that have ties with the main character or ARE a main character? it would be so much more fufilling and satisfying if we saw more outside of that cast, but apparently that is just too difficult

I don't know, I like the take some others have made that Edgeshot's sacrifice encapsulates the overarching theme of the old heroes paving the way for the new generation. That's just me.

This, by far, has to be the single stupidest thing in this series. If Bakugou died, for real, the fact that his character barely evolves could've been interpreted as a lesson in raising someone with specific expectations, causing them to crash and burn when that early lifestyle and ego causes them to choke. Sortof like how the majority of "gifted" students are special needs, but instead we just lump them in with everyone else except we also fuel their ego so they get a false sense of superiority. If Bakugou stayed dead, his final thoughts to understanding how Izuku felt, to constantly struggle to obtain his goals, would've been amazing meta commentary regarding how society overlooks greatness when it doesn't come from great places. But, no. Instead, we get Zombiegou. I can only hope that he collapses dead on the spot once the arc is over, so we can get at least a hint at a proper arc.

I feel Horikoshi was reading One Piece chapter 781, when Donquixote Doflamingo use his power to repair his heart and forgot MHA world isn't like the One Piece world Horikoshi could have just use Recovery Girl, she have an ability to fully heal someone but it'll cost her life or Suneater eats Bakugo's heart and make a new one at the cost of his life or Shigaraki was able to steal Bakugo's qurik, but Bakugo's qurik was able to fight back and use Shigaraki to clone an new body for himself and killing All For One so we could have Shigaraki be the main villain

I love MHA and have so much admiration and respect for Hori as a writer but it needs to be said. This bait and switch is just one example of the quality of the writing taking a nosedive as we approach the end of the series. It’s like the plane is landing but the experience is anything but smooth. I just hope Hori is trying to take care of his health as best as he can during these times.

I think a better way this could’ve been implement if bakugo still had to die/almost die is that his heart gets reasonably punctured instead of it bursting and parts destroyed. Then Edgeshot has to become temporary stitching to close the puncture wound, sacrificing himself in the process to keep the wound closed as becoming too thin is fatal (you can reasonably find this out by getting close to fatal thinness but not actually getting that thin). Then Genist could try and use fibers to manual pump backugo’s heart if it has stopped. I still think that this is pretty dumb, but it feels way less dumb and more plausible than what actually happened

My hero academia took something amazing with a trillion good possibilities and boiled down into a selfish narrative that doesn't mean anything at all. All of the good things are spoiled, ruined, or broken outright. Characters we have been in love with since the series began are off-screened with comedic timing.

The way you described how nearly every chapter needs to end on a cliffhanger perfectly encapsulates how I've felt about this manga since the stars n stripes battle concluded. Everytime I read a new chapter it feels like so much is said but at the same time, when I finish the chapter it feels like nothing new happens to move the story forward at all. It's a weird contradiction but the fact that the hype moments are saved for the final page and are then resolved nearly instantly or are just bait and switches (UA traitor) for many chapters kills the pacing for me

I think this just needed more set up, like for example, if we seen edge get BODIED earlier in the fight, and then when Bakugo went down we seen him crawling to him, as a LAST DITCH effort before he dies to save someone, cause though he is a nothing character to us, in the world of my hero, he is still the number 4 hero. This is a dumb theory but I think this will make some sort of mix of powers or Bakugo could use both of powers. Would make no sense but why not. Them become heart surgeons in the middle of a warzone don't either

I was hoping Bakugo would actually die since his arc is complete and his death would have a profound impact on Midoriya. At the very least, I'm hoping they'll kill off a member of Class 1-A, and Bakugo seemed like the perfect candidate.

I think the series fell off as soon as Star and Stripe came in. Was it hype? Uh, yeah she was cool. But like...it barely made sense why the most OP hero in the world gets introduced to just be capped for no reason? And how her powers worked made little sense? Honestly, MHA is that Shonen series that gave itself too much to work with. A lesson to Shonen creators: please pace yourself. Pull a chainsaw man or Tokyo Ghoul and take a big break to think of the plot.

To be honest, Bakugo's _death_ was the most shocking yet bittersweet and beautiful at the same time. Imagine a character filled with ego and hatred towards Deku from the very beginning until it shows his soft side in which his simple wish is to let All Might sign his limited edition hero card which he got during childhood. Of course, I already expected that he will revived. *But not on this way* . Feels like I'm re-reading Tsubasa Chronicles manga again. 🙄

Based on how edgeshot's powers work he shouldnt die from this. I mean he doesn't die when he is just a floating head attached to what is basically a string(which doesn't make much sense in the first place since that makes him extremely op) so how is he gonna die by just becoming string that will be shaped like a heart? Again lets some how believe that jeanist or edgeshot (whoever makes him a heart) knows the shape of a heart and the surrounding vessels perfectly, and that it's possible to make it with string and how to perfectly reattch everything together etc. Let's also assume that they can also close up the gaping hole in bakugo's chest and reform the ribs so his heart doesn't just pop out of the chest. And after all that if edgeshot is still alive after that which i believe he should be. Wtf kind of existance is it beeing somebody's heart? How are you in anyway alive then it makesno lick of sense? If he can think and have a wareness of himself(somehow) does he permenently live inside someones body🤣or if not then he is basically dead which leads me back to the fact that his powers make no lick of sense. And for anyone coming at me saying: Bro it's a manga, does shoto throwing fire out of his body make more sense and this doesn't? Well no but the workings of shoto's power doesn't impact the plot so deeply or acttually at all. Even the fact that this made me think of all of this simply makes it bad writing and ESPECIALLY because a main character's life depends on the workings of this hax quirk. This would not be as big a problem either if the quirk rules were more solid or if the plot didn't hinge on it so much. There's also a lot of other things that, even though i only know basic anatomy like everybody else(including horikoshi), simply don't make sense like: what about brain damage from lack of oxygen. I'm not saying dive into all of that, i'm saying don't dig yourself into this hole(get it?) and respect your audience's intelligence. You could easily avoid the matter with a billion other explanations. Another point is are we supposed to believe that, are we supposed to believe that bakugo starts fighting after this immidietely? He didn't have just a vague injury, nor got healed by some vague healing powers, quite the opposite for both of those. That means that it should be some time before he wakes up, which makes this decision really stupid from edgeshot since they are fighting a really important to beat bad guy that is gonna do really bad thing that will impact everyone if he succeeds. Not only is risking your life for him stupid. Even wasting more than a moment on grieveing for his death is absurd because very much alive people are fighting said op bad guy in fron of yo, propably also about to die. Maybe ty and back them up and keep those already alive safe and not risk dying for nothing and definetely wasting valuable time? I would say it is a tough choice but it honestly isn't. It is ''try to save the world'' or ''stupid'' actions and guess what they choose? And theree are other things i'm sure. I've read many manga and watched many anime( and a ton of shonen) but neverhave i ever dived this deep in such a stupid detail. It is bad, just bad. if bakugo ens up survving this i don't know if i'll be happy that i'll get to see more of one of my fav characters or sad that he is propably not getting a better written end to his story than the one that he was going to get by permenenteley dying in this fight Yes i maybe mide such things more than the average person but it becomes so much worse when the author basically tells me look at this cool thing(random contrivance) i thought of. Another very big gripe I have with the story in general is the amounts of loose holes that've either been shoehorned in at the most unnecessary moment, or were just straight up forgotten about. I'm certain some of us remember Mawata Fuwa of Class 2-A, and if anyone looked at her character description, there was this little bubble that said "Is she going to appear again, you bet she will!". Nowadays, that either means horikoshi completely forgot about it, or she's going to show up in a one panel flashback, and quite literally never again. It's times like this when I realize that MHA *had* some really good ideas, but we have reached a point where the mangaka is quite literally improving the first thing he sees while panicking to end the series and it really does suck. This manga could've been something great.

Gonna be a bit of devils advocate here. I think what Edgeshot is doing is pretty cool from what we’ve seen of his powers. I dont mind whats happening. I feel my apprehention comes from the fact this is the second fake out death. If the whole AFO thing didnt happen and this was our FIRST, OMG is Bakugo dead moment, maybe we’d be more receptive. Basically this moment feels worse cause weve gone this like maybe not more than one arc before

not only is it a "Random guy" but that "Random guy" is one of the TOP heros. That is like allmight seeing someone die and decided that that one guy is more important than his entire career. It isnt even a "we might not make it out of this" situation, it is LITERALLY killing himself for some random kid. a few minutes later he mentions it

I have pretty mixed feeling about it over all. Because on one hand I hated the way that Bakugo was killed off. It had its moments like with him wishing he'd gotten the autograph, but the reason for it was horrible. I mean it's so reductive of Bakugo as a character to kill him off just for the sake of giving Deku more angst. It would have been a terrible move if they'd committed to his death because that would have meant that the entire reason we spent so much time with Bakugo, so much time put towards developing his relationship with Deku and his redemption and slowly watching him change and grow as a person, all was just so he could get close to Deku again so they could fridge him just to make the final fight even cooler. That's not to say killing him off couldn't have worked at all, I think if he'd died when Skigaraki stabbed him it would have been a wonderful send off to have Bakugo sacrifice his life to save Deku in a move that reflects the way Deku saved him in the beginning of the story and really shows how much he'd turned around. That would have worked, where Skigaraki killing him with the intention of just making Deku mad was stupid and boxes Bakugo in as just someone close to Deku and is super reductive as him as a character. Also I really really hate how it's pretty obvious that the only reason Horikoshi is doing this in the first place is so he could end the chapters with cliff hangers. It's the same thing he did with bringing Mirio's quirk back, or the revel of the traitor, or hell even Bakugo's first fake out death. All only shoved in at the very end of the chapter so they can leave it off on a big cliff hanger to keep readers wanting more, instead of actually using those things well in the story. And it's super apparent that that's the entire reason it's happening sense this plot line is literally only brought up right at the end of the chapter and always ends on some big revel or big thing happening to make us gasp and wonder what's gonna happen next. Which really shows that it was never in the plan for the story for Bakugo to actually die, so Horikoshi has to come up with all kinds of stupid reasons to keep raising the stakes and hand wave whatever he wants to make it work. Like we see with whatever the fuck they're doing with Edgeshot right now. So on one hand I'm glad that they didn't actually kill him off because of how that would have treated his character. But on the other I'm just disappointed it's happening at all. It really just seems like Horikoshi needed Bakugo out of the fight and also some big drama to make cliff hangers for to stall until Deku could get there. Which just shows how little he seems to actually care about the story anymore which is super disappointing.

i think the best thing they can do is the revival fails, giving bakugo 5m or so to say goodbye the his friends maybe the heart dont work as planned etc about the ninja guy idk xd. i dint think if he still dies means our time was wasted because the "oh i can be his heart" thing was random and it didn't took 3 chapter to built up it was quick if you know what i mean.

Idk why the autor doesnt just take a fucking break from the series instead of pulling a game of thrones like this

I know some people also say this moment works because it’s the old generation paving the way for the new one but given the fact bakugo literally just died…and the main characters + the pros have been failing to stop the league/army repeatedly across the series, the idea doesn’t really work for me, it just kinda feels like all might was right that the world did continuously need him since they clearly can’t function or do anything right without him, why trust the next generation? They’re failures (a problem the buu saga had in making everyone else fail in contrived ways when they were supposed to take up the task of defending the world) at this rate all might should just ask midoriya for his quirk back, have eri fix his scars and have him go back to being a nigh invincible god for a good few decades (I obviously wouldn’t want this, but the more this story has gone on post the war it low key does feel like the themes of succession have been tarnished when no one can successfully beat the villains or get anything more than half victories at best when they were supposed to have learned something and prove they can function without all might, it should never have gotten to this point of a societal collapse and literal near apocalypse)

I hope this isn’t a way to set up Bakugo becoming more powerful and playing a big role in the defeat of Afo and Shigaraki, but I’m afraid it will be something like that. Like edgeshot made him immortal or something by healing every injury he sustains. And maybe to make things more dramatic Bakugo will save the world with edgeshot’s help and then die. I can totally imagine edgeshot’s will living on and making Bakugo so strong for all the horny fangirls that want to see him shine.

I feel like Horikoshi shouldn't have skipped Edgeshot's fight against Redestro. I think there was an opportunity for him to give him character development and introduce this ability and/or his connection with Best Jeanist.

Literally the final arc and the writer still doesn’t have the balls to kill anybody important, this manga is a joke.

If the person sacrificing themself was someone we cared about like all might or something then the death would have still mattered and had impact. Instead it was pointless and might as well of just not happened. I'm really hoping that something happens to make this not awful but I'm not optimistic. Reading My Hero the last couple of years has honestly reminded me of watching the end of Game of Thrones sometimes. It was so good for like 70% of it's runtime and then just landed on it's face in the final act.
