This is a feel-good video. I'm only 8 mins in. I realise that their are some lads who never get to do this with their Dads. They are either too busy or absent. Your Son will look back on this video in years to come. Great video and thanks for sharing.

Great journey, great achievement for you both. I thought the midge were bad at that campsite when we passed through 3 weeks or so ago but that looked horrific 😂

Hooks in showers at campsites. Drives me mad. So simple to resolve and would make such a difference. I had the same issue at work when I cycle in. I ended up buying a few 99p hooks from Wilkos myself and screwing them in the back of the door. Great video. 👍

Cheers Dave. I’d sprayed my tent with a chemical to kill ticks but it had the added bonus of killing the midge the only problem was that they were everywhere. Atb Darren

Brilliant but the largest body of fresh water in the UK is lough neagh in Northern Ireland. Loch lomond is largest in Great Britain

Hello 🙋♂️. I had no idea 🤷🏼♂️ that the walk was so “civilised” with regard the all the additional amenities along the way !! 🏕,🚿 , 🔥 🚽🚾, 🥟 !! I do a lot of walking and hiking in my campervan and I have never done this walk - I have met a few people on my travels who have though !! I hope you come back to Scotland 🏴 soon with Sam and try “Ben Nevis” 🏔 It’s an easy climb in the Summer months - as long as you take the tourist route. No need for heavy 🎒 as they can be left in your car 🚗 !! Would be good to see both of you do all three (tallest) peaks 🗻 in; Scotland 🏴, Wales 🏴 and England 🏴 and get the badges 🪡 🧵 on your your caps 🧢 !! 🙏🫶✌️

Yes the Way is very well catered for and very straightforward to follow, a good introduction to long distance walking. I did Ben Nevis in my younger days but I would like to do it again with my lad. Thanks for taking the time to comment, it’s very much appreciated. Atb Darren

When is the best time to do the trail that gives cool weather and not so many midges?
@bluehighfly3 ай бұрын
Mid April to the end of May or September but the weather is very changeable in the UK especially Scotland
