I've been to this Soriana several times now when staying in Cancun. It used to be that there were no grocery stores in the hotel zone and you HAD to go downtown to shop. So much nicer now that they have the Soriana and the Chedraui Selecto as you mentioned! Have found that the meat /seafood and cheese selections are much better at Chedraui or Walmart. Costco is a bit harder to get to by bus as you have to transfer once - better to take a taxi. I personally love going to grocery stores (or Costco) when staying at timeshares in different countries. So interesting to see the different products and compare prices. Also so much cheaper than all inclusives with the option to eat and drink what you want from the comfort of your villa. This is a big part of why we signed up for TS to start with years ago!

Nice video. I really like these videos that show you how ti get groceries, since for us that is the real value of a timeshare...saves alot of $$$. If you havent done it yet a video for super foods in aruba would be good too.

Unfortunately when we went to Aruba I didn't really record at the grocery store. So I won't be able to have a video like this from Aruba. That said, SuperFoods is okay. It is always busy because they have a great location that is on the main road up to most of the timeshare properties. We preferred the Ling & Sons IGA. Much less crowded. Thanks for watching!

We've done Walmart in the past. One thing to note about Costco is that it is a bit of a walk from the bus stop. So if you are taking the bus, keep that in mind. You can also arrange a taxi to take you there, wait and bring you back. Thanks for watching and for the sub!

Thanks for this video. Heading there this Sunday. Tried the corner shop app and it isn’t finding any stores. Will try again once we are in Mexico and hopefully it’ll work then.

I've read that you need to be logged in to the app to see stores. If you haven't done that, try it and see if that works.

We only buy water in the stores. If you have to start buy food then you should go to a resort that has a meal plan. It's much better and more convenient.

I am not sure I understand your logic. Certainly going with a meal plan or all inclusive is more convenient, but it is also considerably more expensive. We mainly buy groceries for breakfast/lunch and snacks. We eat most dinners at restaurants across the street or in the hotel zone. Sometimes we will have a meal at one of the onsite restaurants. Our stay there is far cheaper than any place with a meal plan or all inclusive. Thanks for watching!

Respectfully disagree; owners for several years; eat breakfests and lunches in our unit; save the $$ for fine dining outside at Cambeleche (Argentinian steak house across street) or Pampas (Brazilian Churascaria) , even Ruth Cris (when u miss home)..... on occasion; this video has great insight; developed this routine over several trips..... get the best of both worlds... dine out when u want... eat in when you want... and that's not even including the BBQs which are perfect for your guests or family.... Love the concept of bringing family and friends and duplicating a second or third home feel....
