G Body cars are awesome cars to play around with. A 400hp Chevy small block popped into a 1980 Malibu with some restoration done to the exterior, along with thick rubber and mean wheels, would make a perfect street machine.

My 79 305 couldn't outrun a skate boarder, but when I installed 75 Monte Carlo 15x8 wheels on 235-70 r15s, handling was unbelievably improved, and the stance, well, everyone just got out of my way. Identical in appearance. These guys have all the fun.

I use to have a 78 with a 305 and and took it and its 350 trans out and dropped in a 400 small block with a muncie 4 speed and changed the rear end and put all new heavy duty moog springs and steel Corvette rally rims. I miss that car.

I have a 79 Malibu with a 74 Vette 454 and TH400 in it I didn't build it I bought it, I've added a 3:55 posi rear end, next up is some sort of suspension upgrades so it doesn't bounce all over the road.
