We are saved by God's grace, a free gift, not by our works. But we can and should earn rewards in heaven because of our works and obedience to God in life as we follow Jesus.

"we are judged according to our works" is that different from being saved? I thought we were saved through God's grace and not through our works. (Still learning here and may be confusing things)

EPHESIANS 2:8-10 talks about being saved by grace, NOT of works. Then in vs. 10 it talks about how we've been created [in new life in Christ] to "good works", that is works that we are empowered by the Spirit Who dwells in all born again believers to do and will be approved by GOD for. People not born again can only produce "dead works" which GOD cannot approve of. We're not saved by works, but by grace so that we can produce good works that glorify GOD.

I have serious mental illness- I can’t do many works. ( I’ve been to numerous healing ministries)…. Will I be judged differently?

I believe as long as you whole heartedly do all things your body allows and you listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit is what matters but of get others thoughts like the pastor about this too❤ may God bless you and all that you do love❤❤❤
