I totally forgot to mention the amazing Greek food! How could I miss it! But I guess it's a good excuse to make a separate video about it! Also in case anyone was wondering, majority of people in Athens speak English so that's a definite pro I forgot to mention. Enjoy the video!

Great information. From following all your videos I can see how Greece has changed the way you look and your overall attitude. Comparing to your first video you look much younger with much more energy. Crete is great as a place to live. The best way to experience the islands as an expat who needs to work, is to have a winter job in Athens (October to April) and a Summer job on a Greek island. This way you will have the best of both worlds.

You are spot on. This is how it is. The biggest problem in my opinion is the economy. There are few jobs and they don't pay well. This is why Greeks have been immigrating to other countries for centuries. The Greek government has to focus on the economy. No 1 issue since forever.

Forty euro per month for electricity is cheap compared to USA costs, where in winter it can cost $250/month and around $150 in summer if you run your air conditioner.

Sure! But I guess in the US you are not earning 800 or 900 euros 🙃 It's a matter of perspective I guess ❤️

Great video !! Would you say salary X cost of living in Greece is worst than in Malta ? I’m currently in Malta and studying opportunities over there in Greece
@patrycjasmietana
@patrycjasmietana 2 ай бұрын
It definitely depends on what job you do in Malta. If you work in the gaming industry Malta is definitely better than Greece. Although Malta is expensive, there are many options to get a higher paying job. Those jobs in Greece for expats are almost non-existent.If you work in hospitality, seasonal jobs on Greek islands can be very profitable 😊

Thank you so much. Really needed this. **New sub here👋 I'm coming in Sep for university. I'm looking to rent in Ampelokipoi, Goudi or Zografou near the medical school. What are the average prices for studios, shared aparts, flats, etc. Your response would be highly appreciated♥
@PatiTheTimelessTraveller
@PatiTheTimelessTraveller 2 ай бұрын
You can get a room from anywhere between 300 to 450 per month depending on the area and standard. If you are looking for a studio, its a minimum of 400 plus the bills. Hope this helps :)

Lady, you are talking a lot of sense, but also misleading a lot of people.. The cost of living here is astronomical. The rents have rocketed, the supermarket prices rise every day, literally. Pavements are lethal! Bureaucracy is a joke. There are few allowances for disabled people. You have very low expectations if you think these things are not an issue. Even the food is almost inedible now because tavernas are economising. Olive oil on the table is forbidden! None of the flats have heating anymore. Solar panels are rare. The average wage here is 700 euros per month, people are in debt and usually live with their parents still! You can't enjoy Greece because it's too bloody expensive. I could go on because I'm depressing myself. Have a holiday here, but don't even think about living here - it's so difficult to get anything done. Just going to the bank can take half a day! It's 40 degrees here and most people can't afford air con all the time. You'll see ancient ruins but mostly you'll see ugly graffiti on most buildings. There are a lot of things to do, but most people can't afford most of them! For young people it's fine, they live with their parents who pay for everything. We Brits are not used to that, and have to pay for everything from our meagre wage. Greek people constantly complain and are mostly rude to foreigners, unless they're getting money from you. Going to the coast takes hours and is as hot as hell in summer. The beaches are so crowded , you are lucky to find a space! Glad you like it - let us all know in a few years' time! You didn't mention your working life, or are your parents funding you?

I'm flattered! You obviously must think I'm much younger than I am thinking my parents are funding me, lol. Thank you!
