I don't know much about the Widdler but almost all of his songs that I've heard are quite addictive.

Not gonna front like I wasn't jammin to Equinox when it first came out. But it's not like the dubstep from the dirtiest corners of the earth, just like Moombhaton is a hybrid of two genres, I feel like skrillexs shit is also a hybrid of classic dubstep and mainstream electro house. It's closest classification (not saying that music should even be forced to have one) should probably be dirty electro house(ish?).

Well...actually, no. I've listened to enough by now that I've decided that Skrillex isn't even "brostep". I've heard him called "electro" and various other things, but his music has little relation to dubstep, or most of it doesn't. I do agree that I don't think he's bad; I prefer this stuff, but I think most of the negative reactions to him are people who a.) hate any music that is at all popular (read: "mainstream", and b.) people who hate him because other people call him "dubstep" (see "a.")
