When former police special constable Anne Larkin lost her husband of 34 years in November 2019 she was heartbroken, but her loss was about to get worse. When lockdown was announced in March 2020 Anne became lonely and in need of companionship. Taking to social media, she thought she’d found friendship in not one, but two men. Sadly all Anne had found was a pair of conmen who scammed her out of £500,000. Anne joins us in the studio to tell her story as she admits she was blinded by grief.

Never answer messages from a "star". Think about it, why would someone that's rich and famous try to reach out to their fans. It has happened to me a few times but every time, I ask for a face-to-face call and all of a sudden, they disappear.

No matter how devastated you obviously would be by losing your husband, there's no way I'd ever give anyone especially a stranger 1 penny furthermore nearly half of my husband's fortune he spent his whole adult life building solely for our family

I was the best man at her daughters wedding. I have not heard from any of the family for ten years but i heard her husband died. PLEASE don't be quick to judge. They were a VERY close family and everyone doted on Graham. It must have a very bad effect on someone mentally losing someone so suddenly like that when they're so close. I was so saddened to hear this.

I had a Nigerian scammer claimimg to be Keanu reeves, he was persistent i called him out and got him to video call me, i got 2 seconds of a very large black nose and a Nigerian accent, he got really angry when i started laughing, i blocked him.

iv put things on fb and you get star pic and they say they are the person and they talk to you but something isnt rite the group disturbed i got last week i said i loved the song sound of silence and he sent me comment saying it was him david and sent mefacebook friends and sent an link to be an excluseve member so i blocked it and keprt commingback it took a long time trying to block it im still not sure if it was david lead from disturbed a but i got rid of it dont accept any thing like this 00 perc its not the person u think it is he didtn causeme any trob he was sweet but better blocking
