Tennis? Bowling? Chambara? No, for 'Pipe', Wii Sports Baseball means everything. He believes there is no better feeling than picking up a bat and hitting the ball high into the sky for a home run. Pipe's dream is to win the illusive 'Golden Nintendo Wii': A prize like no other, given to the winners of the Wii Baseball World Cup. Pipe's new team, The Stoke-on-Trent Steamers have never even got close. But, this year, with a team full of super star Mii's like Captain Engine Room, Tactician mind Brain, Wildcard Xavier and many more, they may just have a shot. With very little experience, Pipe will be hoping to speedrun his way to number one, all to get his hands on the most coveted prize in Nintendo history.
Join the steamers as they face the thrills and spills of Wii Sports most prestigious competition. Battles against old rivals like Lucia's baseball team, tricky fielders such as The Gary Barlow Fan Club Baseball Society and World Beaters like The British Museum Association Baseball Team all stand in their way. Will the steamers overcome all the odds or will Pipe face the prospect of going back to his homeland of the Mii Plaza.

I absolutly adore the character development. Pipe learns how to be a good pitcher, engine room learns about self confidence, Xavier realizes that fame isn't everything, wrinkles learns to sense the ball, barn owl finds his parents, scaline learns self love, spindle, cardboard, and smaug just do their own things, mind brain learns how to actually hit the ball, and then there was beanus

It boggles me on how underrated this series is. You clearly state a character's strength, weakness, and backstory all in one beautiful story in fricking Wii Sports of all places! I'm not a huge fan of sports, but gosh darn this is just, perfect! I can't wait to watch more of your videos, especially the Wii series!

The stadium in the background for the crowd shots is AAMI Park (Ironically not a baseball stadium, a rugby stadium.) in my hometown of Melbourne in Australia. The stadium used in the shots of the scoreboard and Baseball City titlecard is Yokohama Stadium in Yokohama, Japan.

Rewatching the series, I really enjoyed it. A solid 9/10. There are some flaws, such as characters like Cardboard and Smaug having minimal screentime, and the pacing with Barn Owls and Xaivers arcs resolution could have been a bit more apart so they could set in, but they dont detract from the overall quality much.

This was such a great video. I really like how it directly shows how, with encouragement and faith, people like us can get through anything. This also shows how you can follow your dreams no matter what anyone else says. For example, Pipe wanted to play baseball while his teacher said that he belonged in the mii parade. However, that didn't stop him from walking thousands of miles to reach his dream.

I… This was such an engaging and such a moving story. I clicked on it for a laugh, and I did laugh a lot, but it’s such a good story. An excellent balance of silly and dramatic. I cared so much for everyone, more than I expected to. My favorite is Mind Brain; the idea of being so trapped in your own head you can’t reach out resonated with me on a deeply personal level, and seeing his arc made me feel so happy for him. I loved this. I LOVED this. I believe this will stay with me for a long time. Thank you for being the amazing and unique storyteller that you are.

this is genuinely such a good film.. I can't wait for season 2 :) the actual character development for them all, not to mention Lucia's change?? also ... the humor is pretty good. I can't wait to see the direction you take it in. I hope we get to see more of beanus and pipe together, I've been wondering why beanus wanted to go to the plaza. its just a bit sad to see that there's no community for this- at least that ive found. the wii sports series (even if its a bit short(?)) is definitely becoming one of my favorites :)
