I'm 100% on Ukraine's side in the conflict and love bombastic steampunk and weird war fiction....but wtf? I just watched some horrific shit on the news about war crimes being comitted against Ukraine civilians and then watch this with russian zombies, general grievous wheel bike hussars, fucking necromancer TROTSKY! Like honestly don't know how to feel about this coz it seems super tasteless and also kinda cool and I just don't know

This comic was wrote years ago. Long before the current war even happen. Like Wolfenstein, Red Alert or even Hellsing. Don't take it too seriously.

@@viettrungtran4500 the "current war" started in 2014 when Russia annexated Crimea from Ukraine (and I'm sure tensions were brewing well before that, but that's what's recognised as the first event in this recent conflict). The invasion is just the most recent and publicised event in a much longer conflict - and regardless of when it was made they're pushing out international adverts now as if the war is nothing more then free marketing to them, just seems kinda tastless

The moment is said Ukrainian is being invaded by Russian zombies kind of made me cringe I mean I understand everybody's upset with Russia in the war in Ukraine is tragic but I think the way people are trying to show support to Ukraine can be done in the wrong way sometimes I don't get me wrong I like the idea of the story but from what I've seen on how some people are supporting Ukraine some people are using it for clout and honestly some people are taking away important values and support from Ukraine for own personal gain I'm not sure how I feel about the story

Comic books take a long time to make, so it was probably started a while ago. And Zombies are a good analogy for bolsheviks. In RL Ukrainians fought both the bolsheviks and the Imperial Loyalists for independence in 1919.

@@parus6422 Yeah - I always thought that Soviet zombies make more sense than Nazi ones. Nazis were too much into purity to accept using zombies. On the other hand - Bolsheviks always had that vibe of an aggressive horde in rags.

@@The0Stroy Kind of how they fought wars too. The issue with Nazis tanks were they were so over engineered they took a long time to make, and were not that much better. The Russian T-34 was a slab of thick steal with a huge cannon. They did not even have 2 way radios or sights that worked to aim with,but they could bounce shells and be turned out like sausages.

Okey, sounds and seems good, but I have a small issue Ukraine wasn't a country in 1919. I don't see a sense in making a Ukraine a whole independent country in this story. It would be cool if it would be an underground organization
