On Tuesday, 40 years and 7 months after the loss of MLK, God gave Americans the opportunity to do his will. Similar to the framers of the country who penned the Declaration the Independence-all men are created equal-and Lincoln who signed the Emancipation Proclamation, and Thurgood Marshall who wrote the petitions in Brown vs Board of education, we were able to use our hands to elect a man who personifies the words they wrote. The joy is found, in knowing, our votes were a peaceful tool of change-unlike those tools wielded in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and the Civil Unrest of the 60's-is the beauty of this election. With peaceful, united hands we've elected Barrack Hussein Obama. A man who embodies unity, who's promised to work to end the bloodshed and to get our economy out of the red!
