It's exactly like a singing version of Ellen Pompeo's voice...the choice is amazing because it's like hearing Meredith dealing with her grief and I swear I'm ready to cry. I wonder why I'm still surprised it's Grey's Anatomy after all!

When this song plays when Meredith enters her home without her husband, I feel emotional because it shows her resilience, her strength to carry on and her pain that she keeps in. That end sequence with the empty bed, Bailey comforting her in the elevator and Ellis Grey's voiceover about moving on really touches me.

This just made the ending of that Grey's Anatomy episode even sadder 😢😢😢😢

I have watched every episode of Grey's Anatomy since the beginning and I have to say this episode just ripped me up inside. By far the saddest episode I have seen. Gorgeous remix of this song though.

as heart wrenching as it was to hear this song and watch her put the cap on, did anyone else feel like this was in a way a more hopeful version of the song in some way? Like Meredith didn't become her mother, she overcame the future she may have had after losing Derek by being swallowed up by the grief, and changed the path she could have gone down...she will always love Derek and miss him, but she will be ok, will live.

Best romance story I've seen, everyday flaws and problems and don't know how real the constant hookups are in a hospital.....lol; but it brightens my day to watch Greys, especially seasons 1-6

OMG this version and the one from Sleeping at Last in THE episode (11x21) are just so beautiful and heartbraking!!! Each one in its own way portray perfectly the feeling of the situation. Greys Anatomy has always been grat at choosing the exact song for each scene
