kev missed a lil with the choji origin (understandable since it’s more about the fights), but basically, jo (second in command) took the fall bc he didn’t want choji to change, he just couldn’t stand up to him. so he’d rather the crew feared him instead of their leader in an ignorant attempt to preserve what they once were. he got too caught up in it tho and started to lose himself
