I’m honored to present to you this conversation with my friend, Inky.

I almost don’t have words. Sitting down with Inky Johnson, I actually gained a new perspective on certain aspects of life that I will never forget.
Inky grew up in the heart of Atlanta surrounded by drugs and violence. He slept on the floor of a two-bedroom apartment with 14 other people, only to defy the odds and receive a scholarship to play football at the University of Tennessee, where he was a projected top NFL draft pick. This was all before a routine tackle changed the course of his life forever.
Inky is one of the GREATEST communicators I know. He is an incredibly talented speaker and one of the most humble people I have ever known.
This interview is going to inspire you on a core level because we’ve all had what felt like missed opportunities, failed dreams, or a bad hand dealt at times. But Inky's perspective will radically shift not only the way you think about your story but the MEANING it gives you.
Sometimes when we are going after a dream, our driving force is fame or fortune. Inky’s story is a testament that when your driving force is integrity, character, and your values, you will go much FARTHER, FASTER.

His level of integrity at such a young age is a character trait that needs to be cultivated in all people; it would have been disrespectful to not meet or exceed the expectations of those who went to bat for you and believed in you-it would be disrespectful to do anything less than your very best in life and all things! EdMylett the struggle is real... and you help bring us all back from getting to low and dropping into negativity. I’ve had dreams that I have let go because I couldn’t hang on to them because I needed to work and pay the bills. I’m sacrificing right now to break through on a current dream and goal, and find myself yet again at that point, continue and borrow money from family or put it aside and go back to a 9-5 job that’s not impactful or meaningful to who I know I can be...

When you view adversity in situations as a test instead of a problem it shifts the narrative not only to something that you can overcome but what happens when you pass a test ? ... Thank you for waking me up! This interview was exactly what I needed to hear today! I've been dealing with a lot this past year (father passing away, bad breakup with a toxic girlfriend, at odds and basically gaslit for the last 3 years by my step-family who have disavowed me, etc) and at times have been very depressed. Inky Johnson and you are very inspiring and I plan on following you both to help me achieve my dreams and goals. Thank you again!

This was so inspiring! Hits straight to home and heart. Having sustained a SCI playing hockey as a kid, I had to change my perspective or else I would just exist. Life isn't existing, it's making the best of your situation and being a provider, a mentor, a mover. Thank you so much for sharing and keep it up Inky!
