I've decided to cover one of Mexico's most infamous cults and the twisted "Witch Doctor of Matamoros", Adolfo Constanzo. In what is truly a brutal and bizarre story, we look into the rise and fall of an enigmatic but dangerous figure.
Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo was a Cuban-American serial killer, drug dealer, and cult leader who led an infamous gang that was dubbed "The Believers", or the Narcosatanists by the media. His cult members nicknamed him The Godfather, or "El Padrino", and he claimed to be a powerful practitioner of "Palo Mayombe". Constanzo led the cult with Sara Aldrete, whom followers nicknamed "The Godmother".

I was a kid when these murders took place. We'd go visit my grandparents near the Texas border, and he used to tell us to stay close bc kids were coming up missing.
