I recommend using Rage management - where you can cast signs using your adrenaline points and also one of the school techniques, I prefer Bear school cuz of vitality increase - combine all that with archgriffin potion for strong enemies such as giants and elementals and golems, and ekimmara for group of enemies In my build I use Bloodbath so that I can have more free slots for blue and green mutagens for my vitality increase

I also run w/ exploding shield / delusion / active shield (use greater blue mutagen when you get it. I believe that's the cornerstone to any successful death march build or you will die if you're unable to regen your health or have something that'll regen your health. I also use the fast attack / undying build along with going for critical strikes and increased fast attack damage as heavy attacks leaves me vulnerable in group fights and rend takes too long to use. Instead of the bottom right 3 you use I have gluttony (in White Orchard it's absolutely important to have it since you likely won't have active shield to use in order to restore HP and one piece of food restores hp for 20 min and wolves are everything for raw meat if you need constant hp regen), rage management (allows you to use adrenaline points instead of stamina) and critical strikes (greater red mutagen). Then, the other two are really up to your playstyle whether you go alchemy, sign, or combat oriented in your build. I usually go either alchemy/combat oriented, alchemy / sign oriented, or combat / sign oriented (usually sign/combat oriented as I rarely use decoctions or alchemy in my playthroughs) and I will roll with fast attack, critical strike, undying, rage management, whirlwind, and anything to buff up stamina / adrenaline regen. This build works really well for me in sign casting and dealing w/ enemy weaknesses. This makes up for the alchemy build damage you can get but I'm too lazy to constantly be hunting and farming for decoctions and would rather just bulldoze through the game haha. I just recommend everyone start with gluttony as soon as the first character slot opens up, then build out active shield build and then go into your full build. Will save you 10s-100s of premature deaths.

1:45 you actually can counter monsters, but instead of stunning them, Geralt just does a little sidestep and swings the sword back at them, but the hit is not guaranteed either. Don't know if that hit would trigger the ability, but still, I think a lot of people don't know that you can in fact "counter" monsters. Keep in mind, it's a lot less forgiving to pull it off compared to humans, since monsters usually don't telegraph their attacks as well as humans do.

How do you open the inventory potions on the go? I'm on PS5 and just started the game I'm on Death March, this is my first run ever. What the enemy upscaling does? Did you have some benefit from it or just increases the difficulty?
