The game is magic but we need a DLC

This game actually deserves a DLC, it's too magical not to add more

This is the Harry Potter game I've been wanting for a long time. The entire crew behind this deserves a massive round of applause.

I will always remember and cherish the first week of playing this game. I booked the whole week off work, everyone at work thought I was insane. The anticipation was off the charts building up to the release. I stayed up until midnight until it was released because I just couldn't wait until morning. I then spent MANY hours during that week playing this non stop. A true love letter to the fans, I can't thank you enough for this incredible game and for allowing me to live out my childhood dreams 🧙🏻‍♂️⚡️✨️

"We knew we needed to bring you back home." I did felt like I returned home playing this for the first time.

I don’t think you’ll ever understand how many times I played this game. It’s quite the obsession.

It's not a game, it's a rare and wonderful experience.

There was multiple times I teared up at this game and a huge chunk of them were just exploring the world and the castle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your work.

I am SO GRATEFUL to every single person who worked on this game. It really did give me the same kind of excitement, wonder and happiness I got from getting that book in my hand for the first time or when I was able to visit the Wizarding World at Universal---it's an experience every diehard HP fan will cherish forever. The amount of detail and care that went into not only Hogwarts itself but Hogsmeade, all of the hamlets, the environments and the story...I cannot say thank you enough. ❤

This is the most special game I have played. Walking inside Hogwarts made me feel so nostalgic and made me fall in love with the Harry Potter world all over again. Please give us a DLC!

It is beautyful and it feels like a museum or a theme park. Outside of the cutscenes, no one studies in class rooms, no one sleeps in their beds at night, there is no curfew. I hope this will be added in the sequel, for the world to feel more alive.

Guys this is by far one of the best open world games I’ve ever played definitely in my top 3. We need a DLC!!! When you finish the quests there’s no goal in the game. With a DLC it’ll hook so many ppl to it again. DLC PLS!!!

I've been playing this game for over a month. I'm 90+ hours in and have enjoyed every minute of my time. Been waiting more than 20 years for a game like this so I'm taking my time with it and plan on doing everything. The attention to detail in this game especially in the castle is outstanding. I feel like a kid again experiencing it all over for the first time. You can tell a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into creating this and I think the devs should pat themselves on the back because everyone did a phenomenal job bringing this fantasy to life. Congrats guys, your hard work paid off big time!

It's so good, I want to see a sequel following Sebastian, Poppy, Amit, and of course the main character! And make the main character's interactions with them affect the outcome❤

Funny enough hogwarts legacy was my introduction into the wizarding world. Then quickly came watching the movies, beginning my collection, watching cursed child 6 times and counting, visiting Harry Potter New York and trying my first butterbeer, and (currently) reading the books themselves. I’m a full fledged fan and it was all because of hogwarts legacy.

2023 is just ended and this documentary still isn't out. I really want to finally see it, but when?

I tip my hat to whoever built Bingle & Blatch in Hogsmeade, that whole thing is really well-executed.

I cannot stress this enough, the castle is absolutely one of the most magical experiences in a video game I've experienced in a long time. Detail absolutely off the charts I got chills running through the place and just getting lost in it....with that being said tho.....the rest of the game felt very rushed as well as the game mechanics as a whole. Towns just felt copy/past in a way and there was little to no world building or NPC life outside of Hogwarts. Wand/spell combat was amazing too some of the best combat I've see outside of FPS games. But the currency, dialog , and just everything else I just kept saying while playing, "It doesn't seem to matter much". Every single decision you make in the game besides the very last one, doesn't impact anything. The dialog choices literally just slightly change the immediate response of NPC's and that is it. There were also so many times where I would feel like the mechanics in the game, especially everything in the Room of Requirement, where I found myself thinking that the devs had so much more planned for this but had to cut things short to get the game out. Sadly, as much as I want to see this game win some awards the beautiful game they created, this year is absolutely PACKED with near masterpieces it seems.

When they said “later this year” it was 2023 or 2024? 😅

I love this game, it is a work of art, thanks to the entire team for making this great game and for me it is the goty of the year without a doubt, I hope they release more about Hogwarts Legacy, even a Hogwarts Legacy 2 and 3 or some DLC in the future It would be amazing for the fans!

I would really love to see a game where you begin as a first-year student and progress through all the years. To put the cherry on top, it would be amazing if you could play as Harry Potter and the gang or as a student who studies alongside them during their years at Hogwarts. I just feel the 8 games that were made previously don't do the series justice.

What's in the tower above the library? I've walked all over the castle and I couldn't find the entrance. And the tower that is next to the music tower, I didn't find any entry for it.

I hope they do the second at a different school like ivermory. And they did such a good job on Ue4. i can't wait to see what they do with Ue5.

I have a question. I've been having a lot of trouble with and I'm kind of confused and can't find an answer anywhere. I keep my offense and defense both in the green because it makes no sense to me to have one go up and the other go down. When I try to upgrade my gear on the loom it makes one side go up and the other side go down and it seems to defeat the purpose. Any tips or explanations are welcome.

Thank you for actually caring, making such a great game and not ruining it like so many developers do. Harry Potter fans will cherish this masterpiece forever.

Just finished it last night, couldn't stop playing, so it ended up being 2:30am, but what an ending to already a fantastic game. I love the art direction, music is fantastic and when some actors play it and tear up out of sentiment, you know you did a great job recreating the world of Hogwarts. Well done Avalanche! You bring back fun into the AAA gaming industry, that's been plagued with greed. You definitely gained another fan and supporter of your craft, so I'll be keeping my eye out on Hogwarts 2 ;)

I thinks it's great that fans will be able to see all the work done behind closed doors and know why was it so delayed, but still delivered massively

You people of Avalance Studio's did absolutely phenomenal work, and I have the utmost respect and compliments for you all.

I have a few comments and suggestions. Which I believe is possible through an update: - CHOOSE THE SEASON / FESTIVE DATE: When I played the first time, I thought I could choose the season (AUTUMN, WINTER, SPRING and SUMMER) but it was not possible, I had to play again and save the last quest, before changing the weather. I found it kind of impotent to do this, unless in the American calendar there will be weather changes, as is done in other games for festivals (example: halloween and christmas). - ETERNAL SILENCE: Complete 100% with more than 65 hours. And afterwards, there is silence, You don't have the possibility of having a dialogue with a companion, where the game is silent, you flying from one point to another. My character only speaks when I cast a spell. - DLC's: As everyone has already talked about DLC's to improve immersion. From new quests, a new map, something solving mystery in Diagon Alley. Play through Xbox, and there will be that quest where we face a witch (which was anticipated for Playstation) but then nothing else. *MENSAO: A DLC where it takes place in the library, where you can find a diary of one of the founders, and we see the way it was talked about the creation of Hogwarts, how to look for the castle's engineer... - NEW WAND HANDLES: This is a way for you to make the audience want to buy DLC's. There are repetitions of the same wand handle, taking into account that they are just different colors and with the color selection acquired with a click, and not a separate item. Well, those are my observations and suggestions. I didn't talk about the problem of not being able to sit in a chair/armchair or using the Floo Powder, since you're not next to a chimney (which breaks the immersion of the game). I believe that for some reason (time I assume) it was not delivered with these details. But it can be inserted/fixed through DLC's. I loved being able to play a game I've always dreamed of, walking in the halls of Hogwarts, but the immersion is not only in the detail of the structure. I felt (a comparison) the King Kong movie (2005) where the studio had budget for the visual effect of King Kong and the other Dinosaurs and the CGI behind the actors with what was left. Please don't let Hogwarts Legacy fall by the wayside, knowing that you have the potential to add more and more things.

I'm looking forward to viewing this documentary on the creation of the Hogwarts Legacy game as having sadly finished it and found it to be an amazing work of art, I'm interested in just how such glitch free massive project came into being. This is certainly one of the best game experiences I've ever had and as a Wizarding World Fan I'm amazed at the detail and artistry that appears everywhere in this massive game.

Looking forward to it. The cast and crew have done an amazing job. The soundtrack is phenomenal and the game looks and feels so great.

People are begging for DLC? You guys must have nailed it. We usually HATE DLC lol. I'll check it out this weekend since it's on sale.

The castle looks incredible. At the age of cough, cough I've started read the books. I'm in the middle of the 2nd one. I haven't seen the films yet, I'll wait until I've read the books. But I realise that players of this game can be readers and watchers, just readers or just watchers. So, to get the details absolutely correct is vital to fans, however do any differ from the book compared to the film? I bet some things described in the books will be altered for the films. It'll be fascinating to see how they dealt with that issue.

We also need co op so we can play with friends and do missions

Here are features that IMO should be added to the game OUTSIDE of a dlc or a sequel: -Make 'Crossed Wands' duelling a replayable thing, and maybe even give it more depth. There's so much potential and so many possibilities with this feature I wont list them all here. -The ability to change seasons to our liking after finishing the storyline. -The ability to sit and sleep in the dorms beds and make it function like the "Skip [F]" feature. -I'd say a companion system, but there's a mod for that- and STILL, an advanced companion system where we can take more than one companion with us and have more options and interactions within this system would be amazing. -I want to also say more quests and replayable features that involve named NPC's such as competitive mini games, tasks related to classes, adventures etc etc... this list can just go on and on but this is borderline dlc material at this point. Those were my personal suggestions.. obviously there are so many more things that should be added to the game. Hopefully in a dlc🤞

One thing I would love to see in a dlc or update in my opinion that I think would be awesome maybe quiditch. I would also love to see I feel like there is a lack of spells maybe there could be more spells added like serpansortia or Finite Incantatem, Lumos maxima to provide even more or better like than the normal lumos spell, it would be cool if something like the patronus charm could be added. Maybe more times when spells clash instead of like the 1 or 2 times it happens in the game might make it more exciting. I also fee like there should be a bigger punishment system then just not being able to use the dark arts only in battles and not on friendly npcs if you could attack anyone or even just the people you can fight normally I think it would be awesome if there was some sort of punishment system in the game for wizards who go bad and use the dark spells etc right now it feels lack luster and you can just get away with becoming dark and using the dark arts instead of having a punishment system like going to Azkaban etc. maybe even the ability to become an animagous would also be awesome I have so many more ideas that could be added to make the game even more exciting and even more awesome than it already is.
