If you haven't seen my community post, then I should make it clear that this is probably going to be the last video I make on this channel. I've had a good run with these videos and I hope they were as fun to watch as they were to make, even if they were pretty stressful to create sometimes. That being said, I am not done making videos. The new channel will still be focused primarly on gaming content, with hopefully the same level of quality as my cut content videos. I understand that most people don't care and probably only want to see cut content stuff which is absolutely fine and that's why I made the other channel for people who are interested in what I have to say outside of that stuff. On another note, I'm thinking of doing a 'farewell' stream next week, talking to you all and doing commentary over my older videos, talking about what I might have missed, things I would change, new bits and pieces I've learned over the years etc. So if there's anything you would like to ask me then that would be a good opportunity. I always thought the scene was weird in the actual game where Bigby and Crane just leave the room without grabbing the camera, tapes, files, etc.

Kelsey Brannigan should have had a bigger role in the game. Kelsey had so much potential for the game.

I wish Brannigan had gotten more involved. It would have been cool to get a mundy's view on everything. Maybe we'll see her in Season Two.

Hopefully the police will be more active trying to discover the secrets of the fables in season 2

I was hoping you'd cover the third episode's cover. This cut content would've really helped with the world building, showing that Fables needed extra help to "blend in." (i.e. the Birth Certificates and Glamour.) I would've loved to see this dynamic between the regular citizens and the Fables fleshed out further.

i kinda prefer this version of the interrogation scene if it was fleshed out more, tensions are way higher.

Personally I get the feeling the Police on your tail type deal also bogged down the story especially with chapter 5 you basically have to suspend all disbelief the mundies notice a 7-8 foot tall werewolf tearing ass down the street. It definitely would have been interesting and made the game more engaging, but the story would definitely have to be completely different imo if Mundy cops were roaming around Fabletown often.

From the moment I first played The Wolf Among Us, I could tell that something was up regarding Kelsey, the big hint for that to me was how the Tweedles had a file on her in their oftice and yet she never appeared again after the opening of Smoke & Mirrors. And then, that's when I found the original episode slide image for A Crooked Mile and had my mind blown as a result. It's nice to have some sort of closure on her after all these years, wondering what it could have been. I can safely say I very much have enjoyed my time exploring your channel and learning more about these games, these flawed and yet absolutely interesting games. Thanks for everything man.

The first scene in the final game is so weird, its like it never existed to them, but THIS is so much More interesting, the certificate thing just surprised the hell out of me. Im also sad to see that this is your last video. I Will always remember This Channel! Thank you for making these videos.

I think in the end, it did make sense to cut this, Brannigan, and the Anderson street section from the final game. Think about it: Wolf Among Us was intended to be a canon prequel to Fables. In the Fables comic, Fabletown and the existence of Fables are kept secret drom the mundies. While these sections deliver a gameplay element of actively keeping Fabletown a secret, they also create the possibility of failing to do so. Wolf Among Us, as a prequel, is unable to have a world state or outcome in which Fabletown in exposed without contradicting the comic it is set before. Which means, ultikately, these sections become a major time waste: if you faik to cover your tracks, the story would need to find some way to ultimately wash away those consequences in order to stay canon to Fables. In the case of Brannigan, the original Episode 3 dioramma implies that even if Bigby was successful in collecting all evidence relating to the fables and the incident at the Woodlands, Brannigan would somehow still be suspicious of a man she (by nature of Crane calling it a memory wipe spell) had no memory of ever meeting, thus negating player agency entirely. Ultimately, I think these free walk cover your tracks segments would have been really cool -- if the game were not made by Telltale. If the game were made by a studio that had more time and focus onncreating truly branching paths and having real consequences to your decisions, then these segments would have played well and had real impact. In a Telltale game, however, they would have felt like yet another clear example of how your choices don't really matter.

They really got me interested in all these Telltale games all over again even years after playing them and thinking "eh it was okay" most of the time. Because of your videos, I can now think back on these Telltale games and think about all of this cool cut content you've showed. If it wasn't for your cut content videos, I would just think back on most Telltale games as disapointments and nothing more, but now I know there's so much more behind them. I'll never forget watching your first TWD videos and how they gave me a feeling of "holy shit, it all makes sense now". They were obscure, kinda creepy yet super interesting at the same time, and I remember thinking that they deserved way more views than they had at the time. Well... 3 years later and you now have a MILLION VIEWS on your channel! That's insane! Well deserved, no doubt. I've always been overjoyed when receiving a notification that you've uploaded, and for good reason! So thanks again. I have to say, it was especially interesting to see Bill Willingham's response about TWAU on Twitter. I guess they must've signed contracts promising to never reveal anything about Telltale, which does explain a lot. It doesn't really make me any happier though but oh well, what can you do? This gives me an idea for a TWAU fanfiction, about a mundy collage student who gets sucked into the world of Fables when he finds out that his family was a long line of the ONLY mundies who knew about Fabletown.

As much as I think Brannigan is an interesting character, there would have been too much going on in the story had there been the whole police vs Bigby angle. I would much rather play a solid story than a story that has to juggle a murder plot AND a police subplot at the same time.

My theory is that Brannigan was a glamoured fable working with the crooked man having someone in the police force would be good for the crooked man as if say Georgie was to betray him he could give a call to her to shut him down a bit like what Bloody Mary is but in a more legal way

I don't know...I feel like including Brannigan and mixing things up with the mundys in the story would've only complicated things tenfold. Though, after how much cut content I've learned about from two Telltale Games, maybe it would be cool if Telltale 2.0 did like a What If collection involving previously released games but with their unused stories or content.

Very interesting video. My speculation is that for the "creative differences" after Adhoc was assigned to another project, is that the team that taken over decided that it's the best for the story to not involve any of the mundy's police fbi stuff as it would just complicate the matter way more. It's a very interesting dynamic for sure, but for the first season when most of us get to know the world of TWAU or Fables for the first time it's the best that they focus solely on stuff that happening around Fabletown and it's people. Having the mundies discover what's going on would have just over complicate the problem way too much and I highly doubt they would be able to fit in the narrative of solving the mystery that is the murder of Faith and Lily. By cutting these corner, the game was able to "complete" the story, having a beginning, middle and an end/conclusion, instead of what would probably like multiple arcs story, in which not only does Bigby have to figure out who's behind everything, while also going against the FBI, and with these 2 problems presence at the same time, they would just snowballing each other and would drag the story out extremely long that they won't be able to cover them all in just 7-8 hours, so it was probably for the best. Still, now that season 1 is out and be loved by so many people, and with Adhoc in charge of writing season 2, I hope they would revisit that aspect again, it would be really exciting to see how both sides will act out in this situation

According to Reddit (yeah, I know, the most trustworthy source), Fables creator Bill Willingham didn't like the storyline where Bigby glamoured up as Brannigan and that was one of the main reasons they cut it from the game.

Though this stuff is interesting, I’m glad it was cut. This entire storyline with Kelsey and the police feels like complete filler, what’s the point of the full interrogation scene if her memories are wiped anyway? The bit about Bigby glamouring as Kelsey sounds pointless as well, like why are they just NOW thinking about getting the head, that would’ve been one the first things they did to cover there tracks so this whole thing just sounds like filler and padding. I guess it’s possible that the “collecting evidence” might’ve led to something if say you missed one or two things, but I guess we’ll never know about that. Either way, I’m glad this whole plot line was cut, it would’ve felt like filler and there’s already a lot they covered in the base game, I actually thought it was kinda refreshing a story like this didn’t do the “what if the *insert term for normal people here* find out about us?” because every story in this genre does that and it was nice that it just focused on the characters instead of shoving this in. Season 2 might cover some of this though, with the recent information we got we got about the story, it seems a mundy cop will be a major character in the game, so this theme will likely be explored more in Season 2 which I think is for the best, in Season 2’s story they likely won’t retread on the ground they covered in Season 1, so that’ll leave more room for Season 2 to explore this idea so it’ll actually feel important to the plot rather than padding.

It is just absurd how much content was done and scraped in the telltale games. I can’t believe all this stuff is still just hiding in the game too, and it’s mostly all there and working. Now I’m sure other game studios have cutting room floors that are this big from time to time, but I feel like with telltale this was more of a reoccurring problem. What a mess. It’s a shame really, this could have been a really cool idea if it had been continued to be explored. In its current state it was just kinda dropped, which makes it super interesting to think about what could have been.

Maybe they are planning to do this more in wolf among us 2 Mundy police to have a big impact on story and fables to be seen by Mundy and we will see detective Brannigan

and look back in Chapter one it's like he smells the Lady Cop and Not Bell in the bushes with the why the scene would have played in Chapter 3 but moved it up chapter 1 and the scene then is what we got.
