The scariest part they actually TUNED DOWN the debauchery in the movie from what actually happened in the company, because they figured nobody would actually believe it.

I actually worked at Stratton Oakmont around 95-96. I knew many of the characters portrayed in this movie. I was there the day they got shut down.

I laughed when Aisa told BJ "Don't you say nothing!" about Margot Robbie's nude scene. When I was in the theater EVERY guy said, "Dayummm!" in unison..

fun fact about the true story, during Jordans "incarceration" his cellmate was Tommy Chong of Cheech and Chong who was serving time for drug trafficking.

Sometimes, when two of my favorite people are watching a movie for which they might be unprepared, I wish I was there to help them through it. This is one of those movies. Fear and Loathing is another.

True story. What a story. As someone who had a mom and stepdad working on Wall Street in the 80’s and 90’s 😂I can only relate through child eyes-I always loved the authentic feel of the fast, paranoid pace of this movie.

So apparently nearly that whole lunch scene between DiCaprio and McConaughey was imrpovised and McConaughey carried the entire thing. And the director just left it in the film.
