I posted the same comment. It is definitely a retake on that. I also feel like there is a small nod to another Hitchcock film in how it looks like she is being set up to be crazy. The fact that there is someone "playing the wife". What is the movie is the one where the guy is scared of heights?

I thought the same thing. There was also that movie about a teenager on house arrest who thinks his neighbour is a killer. But this looks like an interesting twist on Rear Window

Gary Oldman is such a chameleon, I had to pause the video to check if it's him I'm seeing. A whole film can be done with 10 characters starring just Gary Oldman and I might not even notice.

I literally just finished the book before watching this trailer and all I can say is that I have no doubt that this movie will as epic and mind-blowing as the novel. Kudos for them to bring together an All-Star cast to bring the story to life.

Because they snatched Hitchcock's ideas. And camera angles. And dramaturgy. The anxiety is new - somehow You gotta immobilize Your witness, and an anxiety disorder is a good, feminine way to put her stuck as well as pitch her attentiveness into paranoia-levels. The drugs are new. The computertechnology from google to cellphones is all new. I'm looking forward.
