Theres a lot of times when our subconscious knows things our conscious minds don't. My friend once told his therapist about a dream he had, where he was in a place full of escalators, but only the left side worked. She got him to go to the hospital, where they found that the right side of his heart was failing and he needed major surgery. He had no symptoms or anything. My guess is that this is a similar situation. Remi probably saw him or his girlfriend with Teresitas jewellery, but didn't make a conscious connection with something so small.

@Autumnpearly
@Autumnpearly Жыл бұрын
Thats not even a subconscious thought cause why would that even be in the way back of their mind if they had no symptoms at all. So he probably had an actual premonition but didn't know what to make of it. They should really start getting deep into their spirituality because they most likely have a gift thats been muted over many years. Side note: Anyone else curious on how the therapist is a dream interpreter and knew he had to go to the hospital lol

@ScouseJazmin
@ScouseJazmin Жыл бұрын
@@Autumnpearly I was actually pretty curious about how this worked so I asked some therapist friends lmao. Apparently, there is often some training in dream analysis. Theres a lot of different types of therapy, but most of them have roots in Freud (a lot of his worse ideas have been ditched or reworked, but the significance of dreams has stayed). The brain, since it's connected to and in charge of the body, would register bodily failings before any symptoms. So it can give warnings. When I asked the other therapists if they would have made the call, most said yes - it had the markers of a bodily issue (a moving system with failing parts), and also, if everything went ok, the patient would have a little more peace of mind. My friend was super freaked out by this dream, and didn't know why, which freaked him out even more. I believe in a presence after death, but I also believe our own minds are capable of incredible things, manifesting in strange and interesting ways. I think that kind of thing is a gift too.

If i get murdered for $30 i would be spiritually mad as well too. Thank you for covering this case eleanor and i really like the storytelling you did on this case. To be honest, im a bit skeptical as well over the possession thing since its just WAYYY TOO CONVENIENT. I think you're right about teresa knowing way too much and just did the possession thing. I do believe that she doesn't want to get involved on the case but still wanted to help out her friend in another way she can think of and it maybe disguising the information into a possession. I dont know if its just asian thing, but as filipino myself -- most filipino's really wanted to stay out of trouble.

Two possibilities: 1. Remy had the right info but didn't know what she knew was important and her subconscious sorted the info during her naps. 2. Terasita's spirit actually did visit Remy while she slept. It's always easier to believe what we feel makes rational sense, rather than entertain the idea that other things are possible.

I'm definitely a pretty spiritual person, but I do understand the want to look at a very scientific side of things. What might've happened is that the coworker that was having the nightmares might've been very distraught and scared, knowing their coworker was murdered so brutally. I'm sure her subconscious was trying to think of literally everything, and she could've remembered conversations she'd overheard and was repeating the words she heard her say to try to remember where the conversation went.

@@aubreycox4749 All three of them worked at the same hospital. So the friend knew the murderer in the same way the victim knew him: some guy who fixes stuff at work. And when the police questioned other hospital workers, some knew that there were plans for him to fix her TV. Meaning the friend could have heard about those plans as well. Though she might not have consciously remembered them. So that part is easily explained. The jewerelly... not so much. Only possibility that comes to mind is the girlfriend might have visited him at work and the friend saw her and subconsciously recognized the jewerly. But that's just speculation.

I’m sorry I’m calling it now, but Teresita’s friend KNEW who he was and didn’t say anything because she was probably afraid she would lose her employment. I’m really leaning on the theory that the friend must of referred Alan to Teresita or probably gave him Teresita’s address for music lessons. She was probably afraid of losing her job, so she came up with this wild story on who the killer was because she already knew. As for the dreaming, it’s most likely her guilt of not saying anything so our subconscious will produce vivid images of something you feel really guilty about. I’m really surprised no one has brought this up at all. I mean it just seems so obvious that the friend was connected to it.

She put me in the mind of my late grandmother who had passed a year ago on my birthday, 3/6, just by the conversation. After our lovely conversation we exchanged names. Her name was the same as my grandmother’s. I was crying in the middle of Walmart. 😅 but yeah, possession doesn’t seem too far fetched.

While I'm not willing to say she definitely was or wasn't possessed, I don't know know for certain one way or the other on the possibility of ghosts possessing people. However, it could be that she just happened to see him with his girlfriend and subconsciously recognized a piece of jewelry that belonged to the victim, and the "possession" was her brain trying to put that information to use.

Very interesting case. My initial thoughts as a skeptic (who wants to believe) are that Remy had reason to suspect Allan Showery and in her grief her dreams played out her suspicions. Who knows what the "possession" even looked like between Remy and her husband, but I'm sure the experience was very powerful to them, and convincing enough that they at least wanted to tell someone. Our brains are incredible machines that are capable of picking up and storing the most minute and tiny bits of information just in case it could be useful later, a callback to our survival strategies prior to the modern world. Even if Remy herself couldnt consciously place her suspicions, her brain could have done so in her stead and prompted these strong hunches, urges, whatever you want to call them. At any rate, trusting these gut feelings and instincts resulted in the killer being caught and, eventually, tried for his crime. I guess what I'm saying is that I feel more inclined to be impressed and awed by the power of our minds and our abilities to process information than I am inclined to believe that Remy was possessed by Teresita. But of course I cant prove anything, just going by a more practical route that still lauds the instincts and actions of her friend, ultimately solving the case. Its an amazing case at any rate, and I hope, if such a thing is possible, that Teresita is at peace.

This is totally possible. Me and my husband worked for a older couple for over 25 years and the man died, this man(our boss) come and told my husband all these things he wanted each of his family members and his wife to know. When my husband didnt tell anyone anything our boss come back and kept coming back until my husband just said screw it and went to every family member told them each something that there was no way in him knowing in their personal experiences(like verifying this was from his boss) and then gave them the messages. My husband was also given a random message one time to tell a cashier at a gas station and the cashier was just over joyed and thanked him(he did not know this cashier or her family in anyway) so these things can/do happen. I think it takes a open minded or a 'gifted' person to pick up the messages and a determined person beyond the grave.

Growing up we're even taught to say excuse me "tabi tabi po" before sitting in the ground in case you accidentally disturb any usneen creatures or "nuno." And my family has had may weird moments of knowing when something bad has happened or knowing when someone has passed without being told. I actually woke up from a deep sleep one day and immediately asked my mom if my lola "grandmother" had died and she had not even an hour ago. I even called my husband after I got out of an appointment and asked him if our dog died and he said no and I told him "don't lie he died around 11:23 didn't he?" and he told me I had the time right exactly and he just didn't want me to know so that I could drive home safely and he asked me how I knew and I told him I felt him pass as I was talking to the receptionist getting my paperwork as I was leaving so I called him as soon as I got out. There's been a lot of suffering in the Phillippines so people can become sensitive to the energy I've had a lot of weird things happen to me there like seeing a ghost and getting pushed down the stairs when no one was around.

I mean, IF it's actually a thing that can happen, then I am pretty certain that the ones getting the messages from the deceased either don't come forward with it because they either think nothing of it, believe themselves to be insane or are fully aware that even if they do come forward with the information they will (best case scenario) not be taken seriously and laughed at or (worst case scenario) be seen as the one who committed the crime / aided the actual killer. So either they shut their trap entirely or find some other way to relay the information to law enforcement, a way, that doesn't mention ghosts or possession.

What I don’t really understand is how the police couldn’t find any leads or any ‘A.S.’ connections.. but once they have Alan’s name, the co-workers were like “Yeah he was going to fix the TV the night she was killed” Wouldn’t that have come up earlier, wouldn’t the police have spoken to her coworkers, wouldn’t one person have clicked beforehand that he was meant to go there the night she was murdered??

I don’t really believe in ghosts so heres’s my crazy theory. Remi’s husband had something to do with it. He probably new his wife was friends with Teresita and he knew she was dreaming about her in the beginning so he used this and blamed “AS” maybe be even knew he was going to her house and stole the jewellery, maybe they were in that together and used that to frame him. Remi doesn’t remember anything so it wouldn’t be hard to convince his wife either

I usually would be skeptical about these sorts of things, because psychology can do some strange things to you, and more so if you know more than you let on. But I've had a recurring dream that I had a past life as a murder victim. All I ever get is Sarah from somewhere in Australia, and it first happened before I watched any true crime content. It's so fascinating! Thank you for covering this ♡

Hi lovely Eleanor I have a case suggestion; Okay so basically a year ago today two beloved teachers were brutally murdered by a student in our school in Sweden. There was quite a bit of coverage the first week or so and a little bit about a week ago when it was the 1 year anniversary of what happened.. but I'd just love if you would be able to talk about it as these two teachers just deserve to be known by people..they were so so lovely. And also there was actually some encouraging things involving the justice system which might be nice for a change. Just a thought, much love. Xx

Another video!! I love seeing an Eleanor video alert! Thank you!! I’ve heard this case about 3 times before this, but nobody ever showed a picture of the murderer in the videos. It’s always so weird to see the person that committed heinous acts against the victim in the case. I just wonder, how? How do you decide to do something like that? I think it’s possible that the woman that came forward did experience what she described. Who knows right? Anyhow, great video!

Wow this case is alot different considering a lost woman's soul possessing another human to give details to catch the killer. It's very amazing to me. It reminds me when my aunt had cancer when I was young and I woke up in the middle of the night and she was there next to my bed telling me goodbye. The next morning my mom told me she died that night. Very eerie but peaceful at the same time. I'll never forgot that experience. Love listening to your videos while I diamond paint and my son is taking a nap. Keep it up. Rest in peace Teserita.

I think she definitely knew everything already and made up the possession story because she didn't know how else to say it OR because she didn't want to incriminate anyone else. Maybe a coworker knew of the plans for him to go to the house, didn't do anything to stop it, and confided in her? I don't know how that would explain the jewellery bit though, unless he had told someone else that and she found that out somehow.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a possession, but I 100% believe that Teresita's spirit came to deliver the message that would bring her killer to justice. There is so much that science has yet to explain, how exciting that there is so much to discover, still.

the entire time she was telling the story about how this poor womans friend just suddenly started having these "posessions" all i could think of was "wow... she knows who killed her". also how could her husband not know her wife's close friend was murdered? im certain they both knew exactly what they were doing. i don't know if she had a hand in it but she certainly was very aware of what was happening and maybe wanted to get justice for her friend. who knows. also a posession story was just the perfect cover story for someone who wants to tell the police something, but doesnt wanna get in trouble for it lol.

They also had lie detectors back then and he probably did one. Also I’ve read from Reddit about these worker things and mostly husband don’t know about their wives work mates and vice versa. Keep in mind the wife wasn’t really all that close to Remi until she started having those dreams.

Also mention how they tried going to the police about this the second she had dreams and the police didnt believe them. Waited for another 6 months for evidence and the police caved in. I doubt the couple would victim blame A/S when at the start NO ONE knew who A/S was from the start.

I can't help but wonder if it's a combination of overhearing things and seeing things. For example, maybe Remi ovearheard the plan of him going to Teresita's house to fix the television and then heard of the murder when she showed up dead, so she staged the sleep-possession incident saying "my killer's Allan"... Then at that point, Allan's girlfriend came to the hospital to visit him and she recognised the jewellry and put two and two together and kept up with the possession idea until people started looking into it.
