23 seconds into Johnny's video, "I don't know if there is a satisfying story, or answer [...] and if you're watching this, that means I found something". On almost all of the topics he covers there IS an interesting story, or bit of history to examine, but he always misses it while focusing on trying to look profound. Dude has literally made a career out of substituting stock liberal takes in place of any genuine understanding.

This was one of Johnny's worst videos and unlike his previous terrible videos, which were bad because of misinformation, this one sucked because he was so focused on showing the "research process" AKA googling it. Somebody in his comments mentioned that it's all over the place and seems disjointed and he mentioned that was intentional because he wanted to show how he researched it.

why is johnny talking over himself talking in the background at some spots in this video? is it an editing oversight? or an attempt to reinforce the point he's making by listing a bunch of info points about that lady while he's talking over himself. I can barely make out what he's saying in the background. once i heard that happening for long enough i skipped ahead to where there weren't two simultaneous voice overs competing with each other

I think he's trying to create the image of the dedicated journalist, researching, and pouring over a sea of documents to reveal the truth... My man had to understand Uzbekistan before he could continue exploring nepotism and oligarchy. Somehow still managed to be surprised that such things happen.

33:08 The problem is that this feels so much more like a documentary on the making of a documentary. He shouldn't have started with a cold open for a story like this. Especially if he's going to put so much attention on himself and how "complex" and "complicated" this story is. Lead the horse, give us more to chew on from the start about what she did and why we should care to stick around when things start getting "complex" and "complicated".

All of the conclusions Johnny comes to despite his "researching" are usually very surface level if not completely untrue but manipulated to fit the story he wants to tell. He also always just ends videos by parroting a belief that shifts the blame away from the failings of the US government or reinforces an already commonly held liberal/centrist idea. So people joke he's CIA for pretending to be a journalist doing deep dives but only spreading information in a way that never highlights how corrupt the systems really are. VPN/ Data management sponsorships also.

its a running bit of Hasan's regarding the fact that many times johnny seems to consistently cover information like "the coup cia made 50 years ago and finally let the info about it be out there" but he always ends up portraying the said coup as "inevitable" and "actually redeemable" and that "cia may have been bad in the past, but they have got better!" to the point that it may even seem like he is payed by cia/cia intern to not spread negative propaganda on cia (i think he pops of the most in the one called "Every CIA Coup EXPOSED" which Hasan also reacted to and it should be on this channel i think) (i also hope this made sense :DD)
