This would make a good movie called the movie mrs. Van Gogh about a women's tireless efforts in the memory of her late husband and brother-in-law to help Vincent become the most famous artist in the world an if you were going to make a movie of this make it kind of a family movie and get a hold of Warner Brothers or Paramount or famous Studio noun to make it

Great video Michael, your dead on. Without Theo's wife, Vincent's painting would have probably ended up in the Paris dump or in someone's fireplace. And that would have been a tragedy. She really deserves an incredible amount of credit for saving (for world culture) his work. Every time there's an exhibit of his work, her portrait should be exhibited there as an ode of gratitude for her effort

I've been fortunate enough to have been to the Van Gogh Museum 3 times and always thought they should have a wall dedicated to her story and all she did to promote his work. So glad to see this-thank you! Well done!

Jo Bonger was an amazing woman…to turn Vincent’s art from rags to riches and make it internationally renowned is incredible. She brought honour to both her brother-in-law and husband - a woman of substance. Vincent was so fortunate to have a brother who cared for and supported him like he did. For me it sets a fabulous example of how we should care for others.

Una Donna fantastica che senza di Lei non avremmo mai conosciuto le Opere e le lettere di Vincent❤

Jo's character always amazes me. The commitment she had towards her passed husband, to work that hardly her whole lifetime to popularize his brother's work is astonishing.

Great video Michael! The transitions and the flow are really smooth. I liked your narration in this one too. Love that you're highlighting a woman's contribution to history. One of many behind a famous man. Would be great to have her name in the video title! :) Keep up the videos!!

Tutti parlano del genio di Vincent, del legame con Theo ma pochi conoscono la figura di Johanna ❤ Il suo diario non è nemmeno tradotto in Italiano...😢

It is admirable that Theo Van Gogh’s (Vincent’s faithful brother) wife would take up the mantle of making sure Vincent Van Gogh was remembered.

It's not Van "go", it's van "hoch" :-) Just love the Dutch accent :-D Jo also was a fan of the writer Multatuli. That's another topic worth reading about.

Hello Michael Thomas. I understand your Chris McCandless video was deleted. If you have it saved somewhere could you please send it to me? I've been endlessly scouring everywhere for it and begging people to help me find it. I really just want to watch it again. If you do please email it to me. I'll watch it once and get rid of it. Thanks so much.

@@MichaelThomas2477 Oh yeah, just found it :) By the way, if you see the Preceptor Raptor mind subbing or possibly sidebar? Thanks. I'll try to make one about McCandless too. What are your tips to getting more views and subs?

Exceptional. As a fellow introvert, I value solitude, but have found true companionship late in life. Yes: Happiness only real when shared. Too bad McCandless found that out too late. Thanks for your work. I read insatiably and don’t subscribe to KZfaq channels, but have made an exception with yours, because of your interesting and thoughtful topics.

Bull. With that many oils out there, and sketches, Vincent's art would have surfaced without Bonger. She accelerated the process. Aren't you people tired of PC by now? Sacajawea is as important as the visionary journey itself, Lewis and Clark wouldn't have made it without her: now the advocate is on the level of the greatest artist that ever lived. Pretty soon Mendelsohn won't be important, his sister was the real genius. Don't steal history with revision: earn it. You want women to be equal voices with male rock stars? Sing like Ann Wilson.
