This version made me realize how sad this song actually is. “So if you call me back or let me in, I swear I’ll never let you down again. I know the devil you’ve been fighting with, I swear I’ll never let you down again” thats fuckin deep man. I think he gets emotional for sure, his voice kind of gives out at the last second and after reading your comment I kind of wonder if its just him trying to hold back tears. Then he gets up right away and pats his buddy on the back as if he’s saying “good show man but you know how it goes I gotta go let it out for a sec backstage”. Its all just speculation but I like to think thats whats going on here.

I love this song! I think it would have been better if they went full acoustic until the end, the drums didn’t match the vocal. Still loved the performance though.
