The quote jevil says is iconic and has a lot of meaning behind it, I can do anything, this single line has so much behind it, the feeling that anything you do won’t matter in the end so you choose to do what ever you want, the feeling of having the powers of everyone in your home world so you know you could easily kill anyone you wish, the feeling that you yourself are free from society’s coils unless the player chooses to make you a part of their story yet still you yourself in that singular moment of not being controlled from as much of your own worlds rules…that is true freedom

Always loved how Toby fox perfectly encapsulates everything in his music. Every unique theme captures *everything* you need to know about the fight. Hopes and dreams, it's the literal final conclusion and really goes out to show the weight of the battle ahead. This really represents Jevil. Though he tries to kill you, as any boss does, he isn't a villain. He just does whatever, knowing there won't be any consequences, because he knows Deltarune is just a computer game and that he's just another character, and that everyone's fate is decided by the player- If the player decides to play Deltarune, they will live on, and if they stop, everything will pause until the player comes back, and if they just ultimately stop forever, their entire coded universe will be doomed to an infinite time stop, and simply having that knowledge is what made Jevil insane, and that's exactly how this OST captures him. Triumphant, Chaotic, but nowhere near malicious.

that can still be classified as chaotic evil in my opinion. he has no _regard_ for anyone else, and will do anything if it's entertaining enough. very fascinating and underrated, overshadowed by equally interesting spamton.

The answer is pretty obvious on how I put it

jevil is the the joker card, which can be considered a wild card, and it can "do anything" that other cards can do, and it is commonly banned in tournaments. this explains why he is in a jail, and also proves he CAN theoretically do anything. and isn't just lying

please notice one thing: when you kill spamtom, he falls dead to the ground and uses his last strengths to help us and thus not dying. This purple clown mf here gets defeated if we make him sleepy, but if we actually go and deplete him of his health, he doesn't die, no death animation, no sad dialogue, he just decides that you are strong and starts helping you, this just goes to show how much power jevil hides from us

Deltarune is most definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played because it’s story is funny and brilliant and the music goes hard and the battle style is brilliant and it’s full of replayability overall I love deltarune to death

I mean, Undertale gies you one of the hardest bosses right at the start of the game making most ppl unable to continue the game and experience the sotryline. Deltarune gets harder overtime. I was able to beat king with about 7 attempts and queen with around 20.

What i love about this chapter so much is that every main character you meet in the dark world (with the exception of Ralsei who is supposed to represent Asriel) corresponds to a card in the deck Chaos King = King of Spades (obviously) Lancer = Ace of Spades Rouxls Kaard = Rules Card Jevil = Joker Card Even more powerful regular enemies like Clover could be just a higher card like a 9 or 10

When Jevil states "It's just a simple numbers game" he is truly breaking the fourth wall. The influence of the Roaring Knight/Gaster has shown him what his world actually is; lines of code, dialogue, and RNG. It really is a numbers game, where everything is down to the roll of a set of digital dice.

I have never played this game in my life, but it hit my recommendation somehow a long time ago and I jam out to this thing sometimes even though I’m a huge connoisseur of Pokémon smash, Bros banjo, Kazooie, and all kinds of other soundtracks, but man it’s kind of fun and refreshing to be out of the loop for once

I don’t know if anyone will read this but I just have to get this out there. I always listened to this song’s beginning with a certain tune in mind. Every time I heard the beginning I heard 8 8th notes playing a tune. But then I listened to it again and then I heard a swing beat, cutting out the 7th 8th note. Half the people who read that didn’t understand since a lot of people don’t know musical language, but I just wrote this so people realize that Jevil’s theme has a god damn optical illusion to go along with it. I can hear both tunes now, I just have to have it in mind.
