The best beaches I‘ve been to so far are the ones on the Seychelles, without a doubt. The best city beach: Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro.

Never seen such a bluish color of sea water from above, it's so lovely and clean and starting from edge of the beach it's so pale.

well in Greece other than the popular islands,you can find almost everywhere these type of cleaness and colour.greece has beauty especially in regard to its beaches.And it also combines perfectly the mountains,the say and the sky.Some people think greece is a summer destination but i would like to disagree.It has also beautiful mountains for skiing.beautiful mountains.

@@Sonasic That kind of clean bright blue is typical for the Ionian islands though, because of geological reasons (because of the white gravel). But of course there are other spectacular beaches with beautiful blue colors as well all over Greece and the Mediterranean.

I've been to Europe twice in my life. I haven't been to Ireland, Spain, nor Portugal, and those are on my list. However, I think I now need to add Greece. I now understand why you love Greece so. Thank you Gabriel.

I live in Patras which is like 2 hours from Zakynthos and went on a day-trip to Navagio (Shipwreck) yesterday. It's so amazing that I live close to this island and I can just go there whenever I want and people come from the other side of the earth to check it out. Thanks for visiting Greece Gabriel!

I will be in Zakynthos in a week. We also did most of the islands and I am even looking to be an erasmus student in Greece next year. I can't even discribe how much I love that country, the people, the food. I would leave Belgium to live in Greece anytime.

It's full of buildings, full of people, no nature, and exept for the summer, which can be extremely hot, it mostly rains, are you sure you still want to change? I must admit that Belgium, except for the coast is stunning, but I'll accept Greece.

@@stereomaster4231 I can agree that it's up there with Switzerland. However. Since I know Greece very well due to 40 travels about. Greece has 80% mountains with spectacular landscapes and mountainscapes. Only few people are aware of this drop-dead gorgeous side of Greece. The breathtaking mainland is unknown in many ways. On top of that 6000 breathtaking islands surround Greece's mainland of which you and most people are only aware of 20 of the islands by name. But who knows about the other 6000? Who knows about Symi, who knows about Astyphaleia, who knows about Skopelos, Who knows about Thassos? Who knows about Lemnos or Patmos and so on and so on and so on. On top of all this Greece has the highest biodiversity in Europe and also the highest endemic species, meaning species that are only found in Greece. This has again to do with the incredibly complex geography, 80% mountains and 6000 islands around the mainland that creates a lot of isolation everywhere in Greece. 32% forests, 400 wetlands,delta's and water natural parks, which is yet another massive secret of Greece. And then 16.000 km of the most crystal clear coastlines, heavenly food, incredible culture, unparalleled history, 800 natural hotsprings which is one of the most in the world. Geological paradises and so on. So Switzerland is a wonderful mountain destination. But Greece has wonderful mountains (80%), wonderful seas (16.000 km coastline), incredible history far surpassing that of Switzerland, incredible cuisine incomparable, vibrant and incredible culture, spectacular natures, waterworlds, wetlands, geological paradises, islands, and so on and so on, vastly outstripping Switzerland's amount of diversities by 100x. Greece is not for nothing called "the land of diversity" If you only let Greece's mountains fight against Switzerland it will be a tough battle and maybe Switzerland may maybe win with only a small lead. But if you add all the many other beauties of Greece, then Greece is a country that stands in it's own league

I'll never forget when I first saw this view that I much anticipated on my first solo trip in 2017, and it left me breathless. Apparently Lefkada has even bluer water off it's west coast

Hello lucky Gabriel, This video is amazing..I ve been there in 2016 and took a boat to the caves and the shipwreck beach, it was one of the holidays I ll never forget, beeing really as much " in love" with the Greek Islands, as you are. Went to the beach by boat around 30yrs ago & enjoyed a bbq. No tourists then & only got to know about it from an elderly gent in the bar a few nights earlier. It's one of the very many absolutely stunning beaches & coves in Greece.

Hi Gabe, My wife & I visited shipwreck beach in the late 90s & back then you had to jump off the boat & swim ashore! I was shocked to find that the beach is actually made up of millions of tiny limestone spheres, not great with bare feet! Ouch! It was a fantastic place to chill out for a couple of hours before swimming back to the boat! Thanks for the memories!😊👍

Gabriel the "world's best beaches" are at Lefkada, the island near you. Egremnoi, Porto Katsiki, Milos beach and a few others on the west side of the island. Similar to the Shipwreck but huge! (and you can actually drive there)

If you’re able to make it to Kephalonia, since it’s close to Zakynthos, than go to Myrtos Beach, which is rated as Greece’s best Beach. Anyway, your videos are amazing.

Nice one, Ionian sea so beautiful...but you can find even more beatiful blue colors and beach near to you, on Kefalonia :) i remeber one year i spent some times talking with waiter in beach bar on Zante, Tsilivi and he told me that he will go to Kefalonia for his holiday :)) Living and working on such nice place like Zante, and still Kefalonia for holidays ;)

Yes! Want to go back. Nothing like it anywhere. I traveled and stayed on Paxos. We took boat trips all around the area. Parked our boat and swam into the caves! It was at this time of the year also. Spectacular. Ty for sharing for it brought back wonderful memories. 👍

I was there 3 years ago and they have tours that take you to the Navagio Beach and you stay there for 2 hours and swim and then they bring you back really nice

The next time you go to Santorini you should visit Akrotiri. It is a whole city uncovered from the ash, just like ancient Pompeii, but it's 1,700 years older than the volcanic eruption of vesuvius. It's a really fascinating archeological site. The beautiful frescoes that they discovered there are in the National Acheological Museum of Athens.

No one actually knows where Donkey's were first domesticated, it is assumed Egypt or the region of Mesopotamia, though new evidence suggest that donkey's were domesticated in Greece since there is evidence that they were already in use in the Cycladic civilization as far back as 3200 B.C and fossils with cargo from around 6000 B.C were found on the island of Hydra .

The best beach I have found is at Paralia Xi on Cephalonia. It is long, quiet and shallow for a very long way out so it is perfect for families with young children.

Please don’t ever stand too close on the edge as there are loose sands, pebbles and so forth and that may cause a slip.

I went to the Grand Canyon once and the park ranger there said that sometimes people fell down when they were posing for a picture and didn't look where they were standing.

New subscriber here. I really enjoyed the video! I don’t think that was Italy you saw from the hilltop, most likely one of the other islands (maybe Kefalonia). I remember when I visited Zakinthos, the car radio would pick up random Italian stations, because of the country’s proximity and no land mass in between.

Kefalonia is north and very close. What I was seeing was straight west and much further away. Possible it was some distant clouds though.

Big problem also for us Greeks, but you can't get wrong with Skiathos and Skopelos. Another suggestion is Paxos & Antipaxos in the Ionian sea

You are a lucky man.( 10.35) was my main destination for a trip to zakynthos(dream to make a photo there) unfortunatly A month ago, someone was standing. On guard, no one should take pictures of themselves over the precipice because it was too dangerous. Only photos could be taken from the viewpoint. Unfortunately, I also couldn't be on the navagio beach because of too big waves and the boat I was sailing was too big to anchor at the shore. People who used small boats came straight to the beach. What a beautiful island
