Pirates in Batavia opened on July 28, 2020. It was rebuilt in place of the old ride by the same name, which sadly burned down in a fire in 2018.
This Mack Rides experience was originally built in 1987 and is located in the Dutch area of the park. The rides theming is mostly based on Indonesia in which the Dutch colonised.

This just looks fantastic the jungle especially looks amazing. I'm not normally a dark ride person but I'm more excited for this than all the rollercoasters there except Voltron.

Didn’t realise there had been an incident, they seem to have there fair share of fires. Did notice a lot of smoking in queue lines which wasn’t great.

Wish Towers had a bit of extra pocket money to do something like this if they had sandbox mode turned on! I'd love to see a boat ride style attraction that isn't an upcharge 👀 the smells and the system, in my opinion, can make a really magical experience if done right like Europa and Disney do!

I don't see what's stopping them. The amount of money they charge and how much they make especially so far this year with Nemesis and Cbeebies Land you'd think Bianca would jump at the chance for the park to have something at this level ASAP. But you've gotta be realistic haven't you?

I got so many beautiful childhood memories going on this ride with my dad. Since the rebuild I think it is even better. It certainly has not lost any of the suspense, charm and attention to detail. And did I mention the smells? 😻😻😻

We did this ride 3 times on our visit this week and I still don’t think we saw everything - there is so much going on. It’s by far the best dark ride we’ve ever done ! We are off to disneyland Paris in August so will be fun to compare to their rides…

Haha Pirates ain’t beating this… maybe Shanghai if it’s better in person but Paris POTC was poor compared to this and I loved that when I first did it!

@@ryandunbar6507I’m sure the screens look better in person but on camera they felt really cheap, I know in person they wouldn’t so obviously I can’t judge but yeah the camera never does screen heavy scenes justice. I’m sure I’ll visit it one day!
