In this video we unbox, assemble and discus the pros and cons of the Vevor 3 frame manual crank honey extractor. We've all seen this extractor advertised on Facebook and now you can see for yourself if it has any redeeming qualities, or if it's a total piece of junk. You might be pleasantly surprised. If you're looking for this product to purchase for yourself you can link to it here. Since I purchased this item on Monday July 18th 2022, the price has gone up by $5.

I have the same thing with electric motor. The edges on the legs are very sharp and will cut to the bone i found that out flipping it to drain all the honey out. I put 1/2 inch pipe insulation on the edges of the legs. Other than that it works great. You can replace the handle with a electric drill and save your arm.

Thanks for the added tip Michael. We're all here to help each other and that sounds like a great idea. I appreciate your feedback and I hope you watch the video where we put this machine to use. It worked like a charm and in these days or recession, I continue to thing that this machine is a great value for the money...I just caution everyone to take care around the sharp edges. God Bless and take care.

I got a 2 frame model of this back in 2015, and still use it. I see they made one improvement as the legs on mine weren't long enough for a 5 gallon bucket. So left the legs off and we set it on the tailgate of the pickup, or on a chair and it works. And if you got kids-- they LIKE to crank! One caution is to keep a wrench handy as the nuts and bolts DO shake loose and need tightening on occasion.
@beekeepinginparadise5935
@beekeepinginparadise5935 Жыл бұрын
That’s excellent! You’re really getting your money’s worth out of it. I agree about the crank nut. You definitely need to make sure it stays tight. I was also worried about putting a bucket under it and was able to get the measurements online before I bought mine. I was reasonably sure it would fit with a double screen strainer. Please watch my follow up video to this one to see how well it worked for my friends and I. I bolted it to a pallet for extra stability and also height and it worked really well. God bless you my friend. Bee well and I hope to hear from you again soon.

The bolt that holds the handle on would not tighten enough and I stripped the threads first day. Now I have to apply side pressure to keep the crank from falling off. Other then that it does a good job, but it must be fastened securely to the floor

Good morning, brother! I am very grateful for this video! I watched a number of others prior to buying this exact extractor for $111.00. I just liked the number, I suppose, being a Quaker farm boy, but I also had a need, or a desire for an inexpensive extractor, and though this seemed to fit the bill, as my own unit travels on its way to get to me, tomorrow, supposedly, I began to worry: am I simply buying a dream of an extractor, or is this darn thing functional? I like your thoughtful, cheerful and balanced analysis, and commentary. Much appreciated, brother! God bless you and yours! I pray this new year is full of blessings, joy, prosperity and good health! And, once again, thanks for telling me what it bee like! Be well. : )

@@beekeepinginparadise5935 Greetings to you, brother, half way across the world! Thanks for the great reply! I have seen that you moved to the Philippines, and got a good chuckle when I read the title of one of your initial YT posts after you'd arrived there....something about how "almost nothing works" as you've come to expect (here stateside). I laughed, and laughed as I read that, thinking: "Welcome to my world, brother!" because I grew up with Mayan Indians in the Highlands of Chiapas not long after the Pan American Hwy had been completed through the Highlands, and the language, the culture, everything was still frozen in time in the 16th century....which, at the time, as a Quaker farm boy of missionary parents was completely astonishing to me, and that sense of awe for those half dozen years there grows within me as time goes on, as I look back at those myriad of experiences that helped to shape the man I would one day grow up to be. You must feel a little like Alice, after having fallen down the "rabbit hole"! Truly, I am happy for you, because you will grow emotionally, spiritually, culturally, and in every way from these new experiences, and soon, you will see the world through "new eyes", with a newfound appreciation for many, many things which for so long you'd taken for granted. Truly. Truly, I am happy for you, and I pray for you as you move through the process of getting acclimated to your new world paradigm!! You and your beautiful family are in my thoughts and prayers, brother! Truly. God bless!!! : )

I’m really glad you got a laugh from my video. I show it all here. My good days and bad. No selective editing to make it all look wonderful. I try to stay positive and upbeat but sometimes things just don’t go to plan. That’s life. Take care brother. I appreciate the prayers and will send more your way as well. I thought the same thing about the lids - I just got mine today - one of my lids was broke on the edge - screw broke off (contacted customer service already). but was like well well thats stupid - how hard would it be to make them hinged. but thought the same thing - $130 can't really complain too much. I am up to 3 hives - my 2nd year - hoping this works well - at least won't have to destroy all the girls hard work of honeycomb. but thought the same thing - $130 can't really complain too much. I have some heavy oak boards I might screw the legs onto to hopefully help with wobble.

Hi Carson. I really appreciate the comment and you watching the video. However, I couldn’t disagree with you more… and for some of the reasons that you mention. Mine is the three frame like yours but I paid way less and I got it brand new. I’ve seen it advertised from Vevor many times in the $125 range. Is it light? Yup. That just means it’s ultra portable and I can put it up when not in use. Are the legs flimsy, a bit, which is why I lag bolted it to a pallet, problem solved for free. Along with the leg issue, I learned that if you crank it slowly it doesn’t wobble nearly as much and it still slings the honey out super fast. When I relax and crank it slow and steady I get great results. As for the spout being above the floor, it still works and when I finish my frames the whole thing is so light it’s no big deal to tip it and get the honey out of the bottom. I’m not saying there aren’t better extractors, obviously there are, but I can be counting my honey profits 10 times faster with this machine than someone who spent a thousand dollars on a machine that does the same thing but with fewer annoyances. So im not disagreeing with your criticisms but for the price, I’ll live with it. Do I prefer my Brushy Mountain 9/3 radial? Yup, but I won’t say a negative word about the Vevor. God bless you and thanks again for the comment.
