This week I managed to bag ticket for the first day opening of 'Lift 109' at Battersea Power Station. This was no ordinary elevator experience as you'll soon see. The newly opened Battersea Power station is a marvel in itself and we'll also take a good look at that, enjoy the ride folks!

This was great Mark, a real first for you. I wonder if there are any programmes in the BBC Archives made while the Station was in operation. They would be of special interest now I’m sure.

Hi Mark, coincidentally I heard about this lift a couple of days ago and thought it would be worth checking out. BPS complex definitely looks like it's worth a visit and taking a trip up the chimney! x

I know you had to play sound over it to not get a copyright strike but I can tell they are playing some Pink Floyd dark side of the moon sounds when the elevator goes up. That's a nice nod to old Pink.

Who was the mad person that thought keeping battersea power station was a good idea. It is an eyesore of the highest order. Look how they have tries to dress it up as something worth seeing.
