In this conversation we spoke with Gregory Lee, the social media manager of the company who shows us their headquarters and gives his opinion on the future of t-shirt collecting.
Classic Football Shirts was founded in 2006 by Douglas Bierton and Matthew Dale, when both of them were studying for a degree in business administration at the University of Manchester.
From the first days when they were buying shirts one by one and save them home, to the present where they have their huge headquarters in Manchester as well as the largest collection of original football shirts in the world.
Of course, the story of Classic Football Shirts is incredible.

Random question, but speaking of Germany 1990, there’s one version with no line across the abdomen and one version with a line. It’s not so much a line, but a stitching. Sort of like when the top and bottom half meet. Do you have any insight into these two kits? Which was worn at Italia 90? I presume the former

What is a fair price range to pay for match worn shirts?

IMO depends the player and of course the game. Is not the same a friendly match than a final. So the range depends the demand and how much would you pay for it. The match worn shirts I have are shirts the players trough to the stands. Just try to be close to the first row, fingers cross and figth for it haha

Don't know. But in my case, my recent match worn shirts are signed with a special "edding" for clothes. So for example I can wash a shirt and the autograph stay intact
