Maasvlakte II opened in 2015 and remains the world’s most advanced fully automated terminal, and equipped to handle the largest container ships way into the future. In 2019, the addition of two Super Quay Cranes and ongoing efficiency improvements will increase volume capacity by more than 20%.

Ummm how is that automated if someone is controlling it remotely. doing the same thing as if someone was sitting in the crane

One of most advanced..., ABB has a competitor in the far east, Shanghai's ZPMC. APM has a competitor, Shanghai Yangshan automated terminal.

it genuinely depends on the pay structure and foreman but in my experience almost every single time its drastically more efficient to employ long shoreman
