Outside with most cacti but certain things like driosera like shade. Cacti are no good in freezing conditions, but many will handle frosts. Get a frailea phaeodisca, they're incredibly small and cute. Along with scorelubutia. Both have spines that lay flat against the cacti. I have a few fishhook cacti and they stick to you hand and you can lift the whole plant on them. Hard to get yourself off without damage.
