Just look at the Papua New Guinea part. ["1.000 (sic) tribes all speaking different languages"]. That's gonna be confusing when you go to the next town over and they're speaking some other language. Just saying that European colonisation has made things easier for everyone. Yes, there was a bit of murder, but don't kid yourself into believing that each of these 1,000 tribes were peaceful and didn't murder other tribes anyway. It's the same concept. So about the Dutch and French border, there are a couple of things you missed out on which also explains the situation a little more. The border is technically not with the country of the Netherlands but just with the Kingdom of the Netherlands which the country of the Netherlands is also part of but also a couple other nations. This also explains why Saint maarten (the Dutch one) isn't part of Europe, since this is an independent island state only being part of the monarchy. Hence their use of a different coin and the extra border patrol.

Bruneian here, a little update on the part about the divided Brunei, just this year (March if i'm not mistaken), Brunei finally opened the longest bridge in Southeast Asia which connects the larger portion with the smaller district of Temburong. This bridge was already finished since late last year and there was suppose to be a major grand opening event possibly with a ribbon of sorts on mid-2020 if i'm not wrong but when Covid came around, the bridge was opened for ease of travel so that Bruneians don't have to cut through Limbang (Malaysia) just to get to the 'mainland' and this was even before Brunei and Malaysia closed their borders due to the pandemic. Fun/Sad Fact: the last time travel from one side to the other didn't involve crossing foreign land was in 1890 when that middle part (Limbang district) was ceded to Sarawak and in Bruneian history, Brunei lost a lot of territories actually, we don't care that Brunei lost territories/influence in the Filipino archipelago to the Spanish, we don't care Brunei lost West Coast North Borneo to the North Borneo Company and we don't care Brunei lost the entirety of Sarawak to the Brookes but damn Europeans why you gotta take Limbang and Labuan tho :(

We don't pretty much care what swedes think about us because swedes want to look at us like they were a superior race and we are just stupid peasants. For example swedes cry now because other Nordic countries still keep their swedish borders closed due to them practically ignoring the new corona virus, lol.

Its quite funny about the island of Märket. The name just means "The Mark" And the reason for the strange border is so none of the countries would have to change their size and shores. It would just be to much paperwork for something insignificant. Both countries actually wanted some form of sign/lighthouse on the island but Finland just did it first... on the wrong side but in the best position.

I would like to add something though: although we, Dominican Republic, might be "10x richer than Haiti" remember we're still a underdeveloped country, with most areas being very poor, some very so that no one from a first world country could even imagine. So yeah, our hatian brothers have it much worse unfortunately, and compared to them this sounds like a rich country, but we're not... At all.

I remember watching his video on Haiti vs the Dominican republic and being shocked at him saying that the Dominican side was rich. I've been to that country... I helped pour concrete floors for people so that they wouldn't get diseases from sleeping in the dirt. I guess if Dominica is considered "rich" then that should really be an eye opener for how underdeveloped most of the world really is. Though, I wonder if wealth is just spread unevenly? I've heard that the country has tons of luxury resorts and wouldn't be surprised if there are isolated pockets of tourist money surrounded by poverty. Would make the country look rich on paper but not in practice.
