My buddy Zach Hutelin held this record years ago, somewhere around 1000 feet at the time if I recall.

Honestly that was so impressive, manuals take time and practice and for something so simple they're really fun to do.

Sewer is correct. Paving companies will usually pave the entire street burring the utility manholes, water and sewer covers. Then come back and saw cut square holes above the covers. dig them out and put leveling rings in to get them to level grade, and pour concrete around them for a finished product. you can see the big manholes are done and they still have to cut out and install the little covers for the water and sewer in a similar fashion.

I love manuals. That is like my thing. I have been trying to find the longest possible manual lines for years. I’ve always wanted to go for the record but couldn’t really find an official record of it or any stipulations. I have done some over a half mile. I saw you mention in another comment that it has to be flat. That makes it really hard. Kudos man.

Taj Mihelich was the first guy I saw manual forever that set me and my friends off on a 15 year, daily manual distance competition lmao I'm the worst, I can only do maybe 80 feet. I just cant seem to find my balancing point, I've tried and tried for 23 years and just cant do it Its miserablele bcuz doing a manual is my #1 fav thing to do on a bike. I just looked up the longest manual I ever did. I lived in Nazareth, PA at the time. It was either my senior year or right after high school. 1580 feet (approximately) on broad street from center street to just past E walnut. It’s a downward slope though, and of course no one was around to see it because I was riding by myself in the middle of the night. The most unbelievable part is that I hit both green lights. There is now a third light at walnut which is about the point of no speed. 12 years and not much riding later I’m lucky to get 10 parking spots on the third try

Are hills allowed in the challenge? I feel like i can beat, or come very close to doing 1200 feet. Ive easily done 120 parking spaces which was the most we could find here and thats without a hill really. Theres this pretty steep, long hill here that goes to flat for awhile and not much traffic goes down there. Its a scary manual but ive done it and put down when i got going pretty fast but i could hold it if i wanted to. Would it be legit?
